Why are people so afraid of using the deep web

why are people so afraid of using the deep web

They don't know about channel zero.

Wots that

p2p imageboard
can't be censored

Because theyre afraid of what theyll find and most importantly the consequences that itll carry.
Most dont know how to use a vpn or a proxy, not even thor. So they prefer to not take that risk

Probably because half the exit nodes are feds.

No they ain't buddy. Where'd you get that wacky idea?

Aw shiiet, it's the feds lay low!

>lays low

Because one cheese pizza miss click and your life as you knew it is gone.

Just like using Sup Forums back in the day. If only so many people were using it that only serious pedos would be pursued.

The community does really police that shit. We don't want to get shut down for garbage we don't want to see.

There are still those honey pot fed sites tho, your right the community is really great about getting rid of that filth.

Cuz they're normies

So what if there are honey pots? You probably won't find one unless you look for it. I've never happened to come across one. We need to develop the p2p web and mesh networks. CP is a shitty excuse to shut it down.

Then...don't go on the honey pot fed sites?

Don't mind the high level of surveillance and censorship up here?

>he doens't like waiting for pages to load like it's 1999
>he doesn't like that half those pages are dead
>he doesn't like what few things that are interesting on there get boring after a while
fag

thoughts on freenet?

Where do I find this

Yeah why would anyone ever use the internet back in 1990? It's not like anything cool came out of it.

Old, inferior design from what I hear.

ZeroNet

bitcoin connected?
you mean you gotta pay for this shit?

Namecoin is used for a distributed dns, to reserve human-readable site names. A regular user doesn't have to touch it. You can make sites without using it too.

Because they're stupid and believe the extra spoopy pastas on jewtube. Unless your government censors in the internet, are looking for illegal porn, want to buy drugs online, or are hyperconcerned about privacy, you probably don't need to use Tor.

>Unless your government censors in the internet

Glad I don't use any American websites.

Getting tracked/killed by crazy people
Viruses (Malware)
Fear of the unknown

If only my life were so dramatic.

Shut up. Stop watching those shitty youtu ers

Bump

all the stupid "TOTALLY 100% TRUE SPOOKY DEEP WEB STORY" youtube channels warded people off.

I liked the tardslibrary and similar anarchist cookbook sites

I was lurking on Galaxy2 network

Sup Forums usually hates deepweb because its full of "edgelords"

Fuck em

>mesh networks
Fucking this.

The meshnet has no service charge and is practically un-censor-able. As soon as we have enough nodes set up throughout the country, the internet will become obsolete.

This
> One click.
> Sorry for your life being a irrelevant dramatic shitlife: actually thinks that fbi waits for you to do that one mouseclick?
> Takes months of operation to arrest those with 10GB+ harddisks full of pizza
> Must be a noob
> Seen some pizza: not my thing. Its sad and fucking degenerate

It's web 3.0, where it'll be the wild west again.

They're not. Maybe you mean dark web and are an idiot. Deep web is non-indexed web, including all clearnet pages accessed through a form. Dsrknet is Tor only, Freenet, et

Assuming your not a pedophile worst thing that can happen is that a algorythm monitors your activity for a while. Nothing to hide = Nothing to care

>this retarded pedo thinks he's safe

lmao

Are you being edgy?. What I said. As long if youre not a pedo its fine. Nothing to hide = Nothing to fear.

Wow you are either naive, trolling, or actively trying to surpress awareness of this. Significant players like Facebook and Google are heavily involved in cultivating a conversation that serves their interests. If you grew up on Sup Forums you'll remember how violent we used to be and how it was dealt with.

Besides site operators (absolute highest priority) all busts have been opssec failures. Leaving scripts on, doing something over clearnet, not disallowing media playerxs from internet access when not using tails, etc.

Mods are from tumblr these days.
> what are you trying to tell me?
That Sup Forums had no problems with any sort of content
> thats not where my point was about
Unironically: Nobody cares as long if youre not on the radar by an actual operation. People think that a partyvan shows up as soon if you do that one wrong mouseclick.
> fucking teenagers/newfags

>10gb of nothing to hide

ok moron

Learn to read "edgelord". Not what I said. How can a human being become so retarded. Smh.

>encryption based sorcery
>plausible deniability
Quite a future we live in

Obviously user means that 10GB is suspicous. You at the other hand are a frecking noob for being scared of one mouseclick.

You're a faggot

Went through reCAPTCHA for that?

The same 10gb can be two different things when decrypted in two different ways, providing you know how to achieve this

Sorry, what?

It's a bag?

because its slower than a 56k modem

so is there anywhere thats actually half as active as Sup Forums in the "deep web"

I don't know crap about setting up a VPN or proxy, so I wouldn't risk even trying to get in, plus I feel like someone would take total control of my computer if I ever browse the ddep web.

Fag youtubers and media make it look like all red rooms

Basically you feed 2 different sets of files into the algorithm, and they are merged via some god tier encryption into the same unidentifiable blob. When pressured for the key to this blob you eventually cave and give them the key that decrypts the blob into family photos or a bunch of ebooks or whatever the fuck. Then you go home and use the other key to get your sensitive documents out for your own viewing.

If it decrypts into nothing sensitive they will suspect this is the case but
>plausible deniability
Don't give them any reason to think you are aware of a second key.

It should be self explanatory but I forgot to mention the 2 keys are generated during the encryption process, one for each set of files

Name of a program that can do this?

Might have been his first post of the day
