Lin manuel is American born but he's easily latinx, still - universalizing the American story and contemporizing it with rap as the vehicle, it made sense to use less than white performers.

I've seen only like 3 broadway shows; Lion King when I was too young to remember it, Wicked when I was too young to appreciate it, and Hamilton which I saw with a friend and loved the crap out of.
I think I got into theater through Tumblr. Id see all this fanart about stuff and was curious about it whihc is pretty much how I find most things lol
I think the first musical I listened to on repeat was Wicked but it wasnt really until Hamilton that I got *really* into musicals
