Japan took the opposite approach to post-war than your country. Instead of being wrapped up in guilt and banning denial, they just deny or downplay their crimes. Worked out better for them they aren't giving away their country to shitskins out of some warped sense of making amends.

Not touching this argument but it isn't true that the French and the Germans get along inside the EU. They are very ideologically opposed and they have major fallouts all the time.

Very much true, but that's what usually reassures other countries, for them to know that whatever happens, the ones mindful of a socialist economy thinking will be embodied by France when the decisions are exacted, and those that wish for things to be more liberal will always be personified by Germany. At least I've heard that people are happy that the power gets shared between two countries that don't wholly agree with each other, and that it contains dictatorial offenses.

Take a look at your demographics factoring in new born children, you'll be a minority once the older generations die off. You rarely see many non-Japanese in Japan, only a handful of tourists. They don't have entire sections of their cities that look straight out of the middle east or africa either.

Also, the French only wanted the UK out because they knew it would unbalance the Council (well, summits at the time) in favour of Germany. Council votes like everything in the EU aren't weighted, if the UK leaves Germany is much weaker and France is much stronger

Personally, I think it wouldn't, although EU would be unable to make any futher reforms as long as she was in power.
But even if EU would fall apart, it would be replaced with some other sort of union. The single market is simply too beneficial for all member states to give it up.
