How is his speech any different than any other modern day politician's? They all say the same exact shit depending on where on the political spectrum they are. Sure, professional orators from elite schools may have larger vocabularies and many, many more hours of public speaking experience, but in the end the speeches are the same pacifying, passionless drivel written and practiced beforehand. He doesn't use teleprompters, I don't think he rehearses in front of a mirror, I don't think he has a professional speech writer, and he didn't work as a professional orator or representative before. If he had and did all of those things then, yes, he'd sound more 'presidential', but he doesn't want to for personal reasons, I guess. He's a businessman that is blunt and to the point, which is the language of business behind closed doors.

First of all, most of his speeches are off the cuff. He's doing improv while everyone else is reading from a script, so of course he'll sound less polished.
Secondly, remember who the audience is. It's a democratic country, so he has to appeal to the masses. No matter where you go, half the people will be dumber than average, and that goes double for America. If you want elitist politics, start campaigning to bring back the monarchy, but don't pretend they're compatible with democracy.

It's a strategy and it's win-win. Contrary to liberal beliefs, there are plenty of well-educated, smart republicans (wealthier people tend to vote republican). Anyone who isn't a dumbass notices patterns in Trump's speeches and can see that it's a strategy. Smarter republicans can easily see Trump's patterns and character and know what his vision is for presidency.
