Yoko: Oh no!

HE BEAT HIS OTHER WIFE RETARDS

This, get a clue Sup Forums.

Funny story, the song "In the air tonight" is actually about the time Phil Collins watched John Lennon beat his wife Cynthia at a party one night. The press wasn't what it is today and Collins was shocked that Lennon would do something like that in front of so many people. Lennon later remarked "Who would believe John Lennon would do such a thing?" This was before Collins had become famous and Lennon didn't know who he was.

The drum part in the middle of the song is supposed to represent the blows Lennon landed on Cynthia as he thoroughly pummeled her at the party.

Pic related, the face of a man watching a woman being brutalized by one of the most treasured musicians to have ever lived.

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well if you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend, but I don't know if you know who I am
Well I was there and I saw what you did, I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies
And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
Well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
Well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well I remember, I remember, don't worry, how could I ever forget
It's the first time, the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, oh no you don't fool me
Well the hurt doesn't show, but the pain still grows
It's no stranger to you and me
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
Well been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord

10/10

You fucking retard.
He never hit anybody.
The only provable case of this was with his girlfriend in high school.
And he never even hit her. Only a slap.

>Well I was there and I saw what you did
>I saw it with my own two eyes

>The song was an instant hit, quickly climbing to No. 2 on the UK Singles chart but was held off the top spot by a posthumous release of John Lennon's "Woman".

>an instant hit
>John Lennon's "Woman"

What about this one?

HELP!

Were John's fits of violence towards his sexual partners due to a repressed case of homo/bisexuality?

Wow

He beat someone up because he called him gay. He was definitely insecure about it.

source?

Literally right here:

to be fair, being called gay in 1964 is not the same as being called gay today.

John never apologised for it or anything. Even years down the line into the late 70s he insisted he was in the right, even after saying he knew if he hit him once or twice more he'd have killed him
