I generally don't like black metal but this album made me want to lick pine cones on a moist summers day. Any suggestions?

listen to In the Nightside Eclipse and A Blaze in the Northern Sky if you're a full black metal pleb.
In other words, you need friendly melodies in your music in order to enjoy it. Lost hope.
just listen to classic black metal. I also prefered melodic at first but now it sounds kinda dull, it's better and more fun when it's raw and primitive
hey man i like to head bang while listening. I find it difficult to head bang to the sounds of echoing blast beats with faint guitar riffs in the background. I know some people like the shitty recording quality, but im not a fan of it.
...
I come from the land of thrash metal, death and viking metal. I have no clue what to do in the lands of black metal.
listen to Immortal - Pure Holocaust, At the heart of winter and Sons of northern darkness
PH is pure black metal, Winter is melodic and SoND is thrash
Disgusting.
uh are you really pulling an elitist shtick now
your charts from even a year ago are laughable
delicious*
at least listen to their superior album
>implying people can't improve and expand their tastes over the course of a year
>implying I would've been caught dead listening to Wintershit even a year ago
wintersun is a good band tho
>pirates of the caribbean metal
"no"
you have adhd or something and can only think in absolutes
it's not (entirely) your fault you lack perspective. don't give a shit about wintersun or dissection i'm talking in terms of a larger picture here. keep up your expanding taste tho you'll get it one day
wouldnt that be alestorm?
so uhh you like Bathory?
y not tho
in lyrics i guess, just meant yaari's cornholery sounds like a shitty disney soundtrack
What the fuck are you going on about?
>I don't like black metal but
im fairly sure thats not what adhd is
i generally don't like black metal. Get it right user
what's wrong with that
it sounds gay
so does metal that doesn't sound like a disney soundtrack whats your point dog
Perhaps start with this sort of black metal with a more melodic, immediately catchy bent?
Sacramentum - Far Away From The Sun
Vinterland - Welcome My Last Chapter
Windir - Arntor
Grand Belial's Key - Judeobeast Assassination
Rotting Christ - Thy Mighty Contract
Destroyer 666 - Unchain The Wolves
Seconding these. Good albums, especially Far Away. Add Dawn - Slaughtersun and you've got a good melo starter pack.
starter pack eh? are batteries included?
Sold separately.
>im into viking but don't know a thing about black
So you don't know they were created by the same band? (Not talking about venom)
>hurr i know bathory so obscure look at me
fuck off dude, they've been mentioned like twice already
that still doesn't excuse you, you fucking pleb, because I know goddamn well when you say you like "viking metal" what you actually mean is amon amarth
>waaah, I want to be kvlt but I don't like scary music!!
just listen to dungeon synth
nah man, he wants to listen it for the metal, not for the fact that is spooky
>Windir - Arntor
Listen to this, so catchy, soo good
I didn't meant to imply bathory is obscure. Why the fuck would they be? I meant he shoulda started with them to see how much of the scene can be reduced to shitty bathory
>burzum and ulver
>enjoyed by "nu-males"/liberals
gosh, it's almost like this contradictory chart was devised just to make people mad
Judas Iscariot's To Embrace The Corpses Bleeding
Gorgoroth's Pentagram
Enslaved's Vikingligr Veldi
Ulver's Nattens Madrigal
Darkthrone's Transilvanian Hunger
You might also enjoy orthodox dissoshit such as:
Deathspell Omega
Ascension
Blut Aus Nord
Misthyrming
Awe
Svartidaudi
P.S: Dissection is closer to Swedish melodic death metal scene, than it is to Norway's black metal one, so check the essentials in the section below.
Wormlust
Order of Orias
Fides Inversa
Acrimonious
Mgla
Watain
Aevangelist
Imperial Triumphant
Nightbringer
Shut up, you have Ehlers-Danlos.
