Man, the scariest thing about heroin (and the reason I'll never try it) is that from what I've heard, it's basically the best feeling a human being can experience. Like, complete and total euphoria. I don't know, that kind of scares me because then I feel like nothing in my life will ever be able to compare to that. I will never be fulfilled by a beautiful sunset or a kiss from my girlfriend, because all of those wonderful feelings would just pale in comparison to the feeling of heroin.

Never done heroin but I was given a large dose of morphine on an ambulance once because the EMTs fucked up and gave me too much. What you described isn't necessarily true that it was the best feeling in the world, but I think at that moment I was the most carefree I have ever been in my entire life.
