i think that a 10/10 (greatest album of all time) should be at least somewhat popular, extremely influential, great in first listen, invented/popularised a popular genre or at least sub-genre of music.
i'm not an extremely massive fan of loveless, however, i think this one's in the bag.
what do you think? are there greater albums? why? discuss.

10/10's don't exist. Every single human-made music is flawed by essence, because it can't please everybody.
meme opinion
I personally think Loveless is the best album ever made.
>yay another thread like this
>any of those qualifiers
>relevant
Something can be a 10/10 no matter what. In Utero, Nirvana's best candidate for a 10/10, came after grunge was pretty much a set genre and just worked off all that. It was still awesome. The main reason why people tend to cite innovative albums as 10/10s is mainly because people creative enough to start/change a genre are creative enough to make a good album.
10/10 music is just that: music. Only the music matters. The context or influence of the album should have no bearing on the music being quality enough to be a 10/10
Ratings are personal opinion. If you feel an album is perfect in every way for you, that's what makes it a 10 for you.
10/10 is a 10 to whoever the fuck says it's a 10. It's all opinions bro
GUYS, i understand what you're trying to say, however what i'm going for is as objective of a 10/10 as possible.
There is no objectivity in music
it's fine but it's so over hyped that it makes it impossible to believe it's perfect. sounds like average pop punk/alt rock with obscured vocals for the most part, while you do have some interesting innovative songs like soon or what you want but overall even if the recording process was new and experimental it still sounds pretty standard
>human-made
>objective 10/10
people will have personal 10/10s but what this guy said is true
And this is where you made your first mistake.
Can an AI create a perfect 10/10?
perhaps if it's being rated by other ai where only objective factors are being considered
if intended for human listening, then no
I don't even understand how an AI could determine the criteria that would qualify as "objectively 10/10" music
And I imagine if you had two different AIs running for them to create what they could determine to be objectively good music, they would each come up with different compositions.
I like this album, but it also triggers me
This didn't really influence anything or do anything new (as far as I know, educate me if I'm wrong) but was so good at what it did that it is a 10/10.
Thoughts?
It's too damn long, I want to listen to it more but it always feels like a chore
