This has some potential but the lackluster mixing and very lo-fi approach makes this whole thing sound thin and flat, sadly.

New album released yesterday br0s
Tried my own take on djent/metalcore/metalish thing i dont even fucking know
recs
beautiful
I really, really don't like djent. Sadly I don't see how it is "your" take on it. Feels very formulaic and lacks some sort of teeth into it all. But maybe that's my subjective disregard for a genre speaking.
Glad you didn't completely hate it!
I do feel like this would just be a better listening experience if the mixing and recording wasn't so bloody weak. There is no punch, no dynamic with that mixing, the whole thing feels very artificial and not in a good way. I know it's suppose to be "raw" but the lack of a proper mix cripples you guys and it will cripple you harder once you will incorporate more elements in your music. It's not a way to go either way.
Also, I'm quite interested in what you are thinking about this thingy:
drive.google.com
Want to start some form of the discussion based upon the idea of modern music and such.
>I do feel like this would just be a better listening experience if the mixing and recording wasn't so bloody weak --- I know it's supposed to be "raw" but the lack of a proper mix cripples you guys ---
>It's not a way to go either way
absolutely, got no skill in mixing at all so we didn't even bother
but (without apologizing for your ears)
we are still going to try and record a live session, with dynamic mics and some !help!
it has to sound better from some cabs and a PA, don't you think too?
(apologies for your ears, good man)
I think it can, of course. But I can only judge what's right here in front of me. I'll be pleased to change my opinion about your music when it will really show itself with a better mixing.
what you said is right, and it wasn't my intention to seek for consent on the track itself, I was just excited to share a little bit of it before it started, also thoughts about how could it take place in the near future
(clearly, the starting point would be a better mix and a proper release for sure)
I'm glad you like it! I usually have a hard time listening to that song in one sitting
Sad to hear that, you might like the first and last track of Őrláng and/or Holdhegy

She Waters EP, would love to hear some thoughts on my project
This is crunchy but no dynamics at all, I'm pretty sure it was recorded directly-into-the-mixer, and this type of sound is the reason studios rather bother miking up real amplifiers.
Leave some headroom for the listener and it will become amazing, since there's no real songwriting, rhythm and melodies in noise, the one thing that makes difference between good and bad is the tone/mixing of it

>Glad you didn't completely hate it!
it was ok.
>should we start this as a duo?
if you like doing it then yes.
i didn't like listening to it but my opinion shouldn't matter.
maybe if i was a 9 year old boy with a hard on for cock this would be poppin'
ok with some annoyance from sounds that are not as high quality/well made in contrast to the constant piano which seems to be playing the same song on every track.
Skipped thru 1 and half albums of bland guitar instrumental music in hopes of finding one gem which i didn't..
well fuck color me impressed

A synthwave, instrumental hip hop beat. Any critique would be greatly appreciated.
checked out disco veernielers. The drums could punch way more. The Disaster is groovy. I personally don't enjoy dissonant techno, but for the people that do I'd rec this.
Limes rings of Animal Collective. Freak folk is big in Texas isn't it? Howl is alright, but it seems to keep switching between happy feels and sad feels. Good mixing on the two.
reminds me of Tekniq. I like the first two tracks, though the heavy sidechained compression doesn't feel right at the parts without the drums.
das a lot of merch for a record
I'm fucking impressed by the music though

no, i'm mad because your garbage is no better than that user's. you act like you are better than him which you are not. fucking entitled piece of shit.
I have the right to shit on an user's music without my own work being in the centre of attention just as the guest has right to call the food bad even if he's not fucking Gordon Ramsay. It's not about being entitled, it's about stating my opinion. I called him out for false advertising, and generally lackluster amateurish music that takes 2 minutes in FL Studio

DEBUT SINGLE from compton producer/rapper duo; still working on our sound. Feedback is much encouraged!
I would certainly agree with you on the first track. Like I said, some of the songs are more dance-oriented than others.
To be fair, my point of reference for dance music is mainly stuff from the 80s and 90s, so maybe people under 30 won't think ANY of this sounds like dance music. I have no idea what gets played in dance clubs.
Thanks for listening!
