Seriously you're worshipping an inferior piece of technology
All the albums you listen to on your record player are on YouTube already
You're cringe worthy as fuck. You're a ninny. You're a regressive. You share commonalities with an African nigger who never advanced past the sharpened stick stage because "it just works"
Nothing about vinyl "just works", it's a surprisingly complicated hobby, as compared to CDs or digital music --but those aren't hobbies.
I have a vinyl collection but definitely don't consider it a hobby, I just think it's fun--and good furniture. I don't know if it's the best format and don't care if it is or isn't. They're fun.
Zachary Diaz
>All the albums you listen to on your record player are on YouTube already 2/10 bait you tried
Austin Green
But it is very much full of fedora plebs who will extol the virtues of vinyl in the most embarrassing ways possible.
Asher Turner
Post a time stamp of a single record you own that isn't anywhere on the internet
Connor Turner
Pretty much this. I just have some from a few artists I really like, and they're just decorative items around my house.
Nathaniel Cruz
Hurr durr people who have interests beyond disposable mass consumer culture are fedora tippers. This used to be a forum of self described elitists, shame..
Noah Watson
It's funny when an OP tries to make a troll thread and it doesn't take off. Lol at your "life" OP.
Lol.
Grayson Gonzalez
Crying at you thinking that vinyl isn't mass consumer culture. So many people I know go record shopping every weekend and never even listen to the albums, which is fine but don't act like vinyl is some anti corporate statement
Blake Young
0/10, try being more subtle next time.

How much does a fedora cost anyway? Can't be too expensive?
Nathaniel Gutierrez
>listening to cds
Lol....
Jack Reyes
more than you're mum. ps I never play my records either, just gonna offload them to an even bigger fedora tipper and make mad profit. stay poor.
James Allen
People gushing over vinyls is great for artists, tons people just don't want to buy digital music will buy vinyl for the novelty
Joshua King
That's not the point, YouTube quality is trash, you could've at least said Spotify/digital download for a better argument
Dominic Powell
Vinyl is the best format to have albums on if you have a permanent home (and the money that comes with that), transporting them is a pain otherwise
Dominic Anderson
Aka you can't
Oh well at least you record collection will go great with your cool hat collection embarassing faggot lel
Nolan Myers
Wow you sure showed me
Chase King
stay envious and poor
Ryan Diaz
You literally can't tell the difference between FLAC and 192kb mp3 anyway so saying a vinyl records sound better is just retarded
It's all placebo
Lucas Sullivan

>Vinyl version often has its own mastering that is subjectively better sounding to many listeners >M-muh bitrates!
Kill yourself dumbass
Joshua Howard
True but if i had the money i would buy vynils for the sake of the aesthetics and value of that album. Not pretending i could hear it better.
Just like cd cases for vidya. I'd rather have that than Steam. I'm a 26yo oldfag so Sup Forums and Sup Forums wouldnt understand since half of em are underage.
Luke Hughes

Kayden Moore
>Fuck! He just contradicted my completely wrong statement with an actual fact! >err, uhhh.... >*tips fedora* >heh heh, I really crack myself up sometimes
Just admit that you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about and maybe learn about something before shitting on it and assuming that everyone who likes it is retarded.
Ayden Brown
Wow you sure proved me wrong
I'm starting a record collection now!
Landon Reed

Adam Campbell
I don't give a shit if you buy vinyl or not, there's perfectly legit reasons to dislike vinyl. Just don't have a brainlet tantrum that people like vinyl for reasons you didn't even know about.
Now go listen to your lofi chill compilation youtube streams with earbuds.
Jackson Bailey
if you can't tell difference between 192 and higher that's on you man, it's not a hard test to run
Luis Myers
Quick question guys. Trillby or fedora?
Jacob Reed
>It's all placebo faggot band for faggots and girls

Neither. You need a normal sized cranium to wear either of them.

if you've got one of those all in one box record players with speakers built in then off yourself
it's only worth it if you have a high end amp, speakers and record player
record collecting will come and go and if you just buy rare presses then they're likely to be worth something in the future, can you say that for an mp3?
vinyls are investments
Alexander Hernandez
>Mom, look! I posted it again! xD
Jonathan Hill
Yeah dude kids in the year 2050 are gonna be itching to get their hands on some sick records from their cool uncle!
I remember when I was a kid my grandpa gave me his hat collection was one of the best days of my life more than 20 hats. Bowlers, top hats, fedoras, trillbys you name it
Records are dope!
Connor Miller
*teleporta behind you*

Jaxson Carter
if it's an old one they're cute as an accessory but they should never be used to play records on
Xavier Watson
you could have said that exact same thing in the 1970s and even more when CDs came out though and people are buying rare record for tens of thousands of pounds right now the market is booming
you can't predict trends and I can't really see a new form of physically music being invented seeing as how we live in such a digital age, older records will just keep increasing in value
Adrian Hill
When my great grandpa died and he had this huge records collection of 78s we just threw em away. Nobody gave a shit about dusty shitty music that takes away space.
Ethan Gutierrez
well you probably threw away a lot of money
Jace Perry
>dude my vintage le hipster hat tip crowd made records trendy in the 2010s >this trend will continue forever
Hahahahahahahaha kid, records are already sinonomous with bearded glasses wearing fedora tipping faggots precisely because of this shitty trend
This new generation of kids are already laughing at nu males collecting grandpas records to larp as Le gentlemen. It's over kid
David Perry
not saying it's not but as an investment the market is booming because of all the nu males willing to buy them
you can buy £5 7inch limited edition record store day singles and they are selling for £50-£200 on ebay right now
even if you don't give a shit about the actual record or the format of listening to music there's still a lot of money to be made buying and selling records
especially if you have rare older records as they reach the thousands
Jack Hill
For how much longer? 3 years? Kids are already laughing at you
Sell your shit now before this garbage trend dies and so you can preserve your last shred of your dignity you larping, hat tipping faggot
Evan Campbell
So how can you say for sure that it won't come back again in 10-20 years. People like physical music formats and there wont be any new ones past CD and CD definitely won't become collectable because 90% of all CDs on earth are scratched to shit. Tape is experiencing a bit of a revival but it wont be big because people like the big artwork.
There will always be a small constant vinyl market it just booms every so often and that is sell and buy while it is slower. It's simple economics really. Even if I get stuck with a bunch of worthless records I can still enjoy listening to them until it picks up again.
Nicholas Ross
*tips hat*
Blake Morgan
It's more about the collection than anything else. I'm well aware of the fact that vinyl doesn't sound better, in fact it sounds worse than the best digital tracks.
For one, you'll always have the physical album, a large sized print of the album art (being the sleeve), and sometimes there's sweet bonuses that come with it, for instance the licence plate from Death Grips' GP, or the several neat things that came with Maudlin of the Well's Bath/Leaving Your Body Map box set. Also, when the album is colored differently, my dick gets painfully hard, so there's that, too. So again, it's all about the collection, as pretentious as that may be.

You're getting bored now, I guess. It was bound to happen with such an obvious bait, but we humored you.
Btw, this album came out ~7 years ago. Look at the prices, whether you think it's funny or not.

Zachary Jackson
It actually depends on how you treat it, if you can't stop talking about it it probably means you're a fedora tipping asshole
if you're not preachy or posting photos of your records everyday then you just like them and that's ok.
Now.. coming to Sup Forums to talk about anything is truly Fedora-core
Dominic Mitchell
I can respect OP for being really dedicated to his shitposting, but unless you own a full soundsystem for your turntable plus good speakers and headphones, then fuck off. You know shit about audio quality if you've listen to 192kps tracks through a decent system and thought they were no different than a record.
Henry Hall
Do you ride a penny farthing too?

Painfully self-aware, that gives me an edge on seeing other people's behaviors easily. You're about as convincing as the "traps are gay" kid. Nice effort, but you're fake news and you're garbage.

Isaac Howard

They both offer pretty different listening experiences, at least to me. It just seems good to have both if you want to be able to fully experience your music.
Wyatt Diaz
It must give you an aneurysm to know that some of us are collecting music that is only ever pressed on vinyl.
Jaxson Hill
I'm pretty lazy and happy with just having stereo quality. What's more is a have a pretty entry-level receiver from best buy that I've kinda just settled with. Can't really afford another at this point, but meh, I'm happy.
Austin Young
The fuck kind of music is that eastern sounding shot?
1 second in google. Oh I forgot you only use a type writer, no internet
Benjamin Myers

Mason Sanchez
I wasn't baiting, just had no context for the music it was. That's some nice beats, you serious about it only being on vinyl?

It's the estrogen from soy milk and plastic water bottles. Seriously. Turns them effeminate. It's called "nesting", it's when home stuck men start doing things like collecting and displaying knick·knacks like bored housewives.
It's what they do instead of rutting like normal heterosexual men do.
Pic related, pretty sure no one can tell if this guy was in the Decemberists or not.

jfc imagine being this retarded. How embarrassing.

Saying collecting vinyls is impractical is the stupidest thing. It's music, huge amount of money and Earth's resources wasted in creating sounds that are just for recreation, they contribute nothing to humanity. Therefore I don't see the point in saying anything against vinyls. You can say analog sound and .flac are just a placebo/illusion, but music itself is just an illusion too. If you enjoy it more then it's worth spending more money on it.
