Also, whilst on vacation, the nationalist would attempt to learn about the stranger culture he currently lives in, so that he can use whatever he learned to the benefit of his own culture. It might hurt your own economy, but it'll allow for more happiness, more cultural pride (being away makes you love your country even more), and more personal development (useful as this nationalist would have children, which he could teach using his personal development as a tool). Stop painting nationalism like it's some backwards permanent isolationist ideology.
