What is the best guitar brand and why is it fender?
Depends on what sound you want. There is no perfect brand. But Fender is well rounded, and strats have a good standard sound.
Its because gibson is obviously the best brand
Hence why they are recommended for beginners.
not too well rounded for more heavy styles or shredding. Not even in HSH mode due to the trem bridge and tight curve of the fretboard.
Because Schecter exists, you fucking plebians
That’s a strange way to say PRS.
I see you're a man of refined tastes as well.
Nope. Just nope. Gibson doesn't care about customers anymore, they just went easiest way and do jewish buisiness. Want to legally sell Gibson guitars? Pay tens of thousands of dollars just to get permissions. After that, at least half of your store walls must be Gibson and Gibson derivatives. Speaking about quality, anything that came after 2013/2014 sucks ass now. In fact, if you want good quality instrument, then you must buy more expensive instrument and look for the one that has least amount of defects or buy older/vintage ones.
...
Because BMG obviously. I mean, Red Special
I like that body a lot. The headstock is a bit strange, though. What's the make/model?
Yeah buddy. I have 3 schecters
Strats are the Beatles of electric guitar: you shouldn't underestimate their historical importance but they're not as good as everyone says.
Peavey Vandenberg
>they're not as good as everyone says
Every 80's metal band would like to have a word with you
I have a Telecaster. Don't even play anymore. Let all my other guitars and basses go, but will never part with this one.
Originally it was black with white pick guard, but it has aged so nicely and the white has turned a nice cream.
Rob Chapman here to say clearly the best guitars are Chapman guitars.
My first guitar was a cheap squire strat and i'll never part with it. It's got a new neck because the truss rod was stripped, the pickups swapped out too many times to count, and has had like 3 different pickguards on it.
Fuck Chappers...
80s metal bands are not as good as everyone says. Plus they all swapped out the bridge pickup for a humbucker, then added floyd rose vibratos, locking tuners etc. Then along comes Grover Jackson and Fenders were relegated to pop bands and bluesmen.
Prs
Dem fightin' words
pic?
That guitar looks like it was built from cheap pine out of a scrap pile
My 2017 Gibson SG special wants a word with you
I found the neck in a bookstore of all places for $10. I cut out the design and put a waterslide decal on it. I wrapped the pickguaird with carbon fiber vinyl. I might put the single coils back in it soon
...
hot rail in the neck? should be great for leads
We use only the highest quality wood straight from Indonesia
Meh. The only Strat player I like is Dick Dale and he doesn't sound like your regular Strat player.
Cool rail actually. Works well w the jb.
Gibson is better than fender, try again
Black metal on the clean channel
awesome, had a hot rail in the bridge of my melody maker before i had it routed for humbuckers.
I bought a Jay Turser stratocaster. The sound is quite bold.
IBANEZ for fucks sake. do you even shred it bro?
Cool. Any pics?
not with the hot rail, but with a set of black winters Its got the 490r/498t now.
You get a little happy with a hacksaw on that headstock?
Playing anything other than a fender/gibson/rickenbacker or similar vintage japanese guitars is for plebs
pretty sexy tbh
Fender and Gibson fags can't play more than 3 chords and don't like anything else for the sake of being loyal to shit brands
this is the way they came since 1959, this is the 2009 reissue albeit heavily modded. Headstock is untouced except for keystone tuners
>this fucker
Gibson is second to Fender, sorry I like the Les Paul sound, but Fender makes comprible quality with 1/2 the price. The AmericN Professional Series Fenders are the best they have ever done.
it feels somewhere in between an SG and a Les Paul. Light and thin, and resonant.
I'll say Gretsch is also in the non pleb tier
Shredders do nothing for me.
ok, i posted this comment and it should be an OBVIOUS troll. I had to send a 2016 SG back due to the guitar being shit.
and i traded a 2008 LP studio for a new SG due to it not feeling right, sticky finish as well.
Epiphone is legit.
For blues/jazz - Strat
For math rock/metal - streinbergs
For country/folk - semi hollow gretsch
For rap - ???
For soul/r&b - shechter or Telecaster
For bass - either fender or rickenbacker
Oh yea for southern rock/ classic rock - Gibson
necks feel weird to me though, very flat with strong shoulders. Like a rounded off plank
That feel when the most comfy guitar you've ever played is made by the shittiest guitar company that ever existed and the discontinued it 30 years ago so you'll never even get to play a new one.
Manson
I'm saving up cash for Gibson LP Gothic or Vintage SG Standard. My cousin got 2, and I love the sound and feeling while holding one of these, except sometimes it feels weird to hold SG due to its' lightness.
Jazzmaster race coming through.
>rhythm circuit for switchable clean sound on single channel amps
>only vibrato that's both musical and actually stays in tune
>normal sized necks so men can play them
>pinnacle of ergonomic body design
>fat sound but with bite
>doesn't work with light strings so normalfags can't use them
>third bridge resonance like built in reverb
>sustain is for pussies who can't pick fast enough
>arguing about musical instruments
Music is only for children and retards. Grow the fuck up and listen to something with some actual merit like an audio book, podcast, or talk radio. Fucking tards.
I love tthisguitar. Its the lp custom pro.
It feels good while playing it and has coil splitters so you can also get that strat sound out of it.
Get on my level niggers.kays from the late 50s and early 60s are the best
epiphone is legit as fuck.
I also really enjoy Jackson, and esp.
I think all of you guys have great taste, BTW, but I'm surprised nobody has brought up gretsch, as (even though I'll never own one) the white falcon is an absolutely beautiful instrument that I'm sure any one of us would be happy to own, I could be wrong, but personally its one of my very favorites as far as craftsmanship and sound are concerned.
Lol wtf is that?
1 pickup
Not even a tone control
That wammy bar doesn't even have a rubber grip.
Pathetic.
Any guitar brand that doesn't cheap out on important parts that people won't notice
I love old '70s rock. Jimmy Page played Gibsons a lot (as well as some Fenders of course)
David Gilmore, Jimi Hendrix etc. played Strats for the most part.
I therefore don't have a favorite. Depends on the song and who's playing it.
>he doesn't play a Schecter
Strats are played out niglet, they're just money pits with a sound anyone can pick out.
>neck through body
Have fun with an unusable guitar once your shit head stock breaks.
>pbass pickups on a fret less
Pig disgusting desu
Fuck all of you
childhood friend has a 76 SG Special he got when he was 15.
I asked him about it recently and he says he still plays once in a while. He sent me pics and it looked like he didn't take care of it. Kind of looked dirty and just not taken care of. Real shame.
I've got an 87 les paul. It's ok, not great.
chapman guitars are fucking horrible. only metal elitist and chapman ass kissers use that shit chinese made brand.
I have a Squier. No complaints about it. I hate the bulkiness of Gibson and Epiphone. If I could have any guitar though, it would be a telecaster, as I generally play on the clean channel more. Although sometimes I like to just chug some palm muted riffs with crazy distortion just for fun.
That's like saying Nike is the best shoe brand. It's just overhyped shit.
the fireman is actually my fav. been a les paul gibson guy for a long ass time but damn this guitar is fucking great for almost everything.
I bought my electric as a freshman in high school (11 years ago), I'm too embarrassed to show it. I bought it based on looks, because I had no understanding of guitars having different sounds. I was derp.
Tele's are still pretty bulky, there's a reason Keef used them to twat stage jumpers.
