dub techno has all the best parts of detroit techno and discards the cringy bits. far superior

Dub > Detroit > good Industrial > Minimal > Ambient > most Industrial

y'all have a weird definition of contemporary electronic. I label contemporary.... "electronic" stuff contemporary electronic. Knudsen, MouliniƩ, Philippe Grancher, Luc Henrion, David Borden, etc

but to each his own.

This will trigger the electronic autists, but for me, Hot Chip's discography keeps getting better the further away we get from it.

I'm not even memeing here. I've been to dozens of shows and festivals, and seen all sorts of genres live. I don't think I've ever seen another act that's as loud and powerful as the live act that Hot Chip puts on.

Anything post-1980 with electronic instrumentation as the backbone basically for me, fucking huge array I know

You are 100% correct, and don't let the sub-genre splitting autists tell you otherwise.

thanks for the recommendations, btw, i'm definitely going to give all these a spin
