I guess it'd be more accurate to say while it is subversive its still nothing new. Americans have been subverting trap music tropes since the late 2010's Kreyshawn,White Girl mob, Lil B, Raider Klan, The new wave of Florida rap etc.

At the end of the day I like the way it sounds and I think it's original, both musically and lyrically.

Tons? Guys like Lil B and other "meme rappers" are comedic, not postmodern. I personally don't find his music enjoyable to listen to, but I do like KOHH. If it seems "too simple" or "unoriginal" to you, maybe you just don't get it and your expectations were in the wrong place. If you don't think he sounds good, then too bad I guess
