So I just found out that the girl I really liked at work is getting fired in 30min, and they want me to be there with her to take information down that she knew. I feel like shit right now.
How do I hold it all back and maintain professionalism? I just want to hide.
Juan Brown
Guys pls
Samuel Morgan
lol they're being assholes on purpose they know you like her. in the future they will bring it up "oh dont you remember so and so that did this and that?" to be assholes and see your reaction (probably tears)
John Adams
They don't know. And I'm about to go look like a fucking child in front of them. God dammit what do I do if I walk in there and she's been crying. Dude I can't handle this.
Benjamin Perez
Can someone give me some advice or something
Matthew Rogers
Send her a message beforehand, tell her if she needs anything you'll be there and that you're sorry about the situation.
Luis Morgan
She doesn't know, and I can't tell her. It's confidential.
I am not sure if I'd want her as a gf now though, I just liked being around her and working with her.
Luis Sanders
Tell us the story OP
Jason Martinez
Then let her know after the fact? Idk user
Christian Diaz
The problem is that in like 10 minutes, I have to look her in the eye and ask her stuff. After she's been told she's being terminated. And I just know she's probably going to cry about it. And I know that she has feelings for me too, and jts going to fucking kill me trying to maintain professionalism.
Carson Anderson
Up to you user, I'd let her know after the fact if you can't tell her beforehand. Better than nothing.
Jack Lee
Comfort her. Be there for her. And then fuck her. Obviously.
Dominic Gonzalez
Just kys user
Liam Garcia
Since she's no longer a co-worker. ask her out, before you start on the questions.
What the fuck questions? They're getting rid of her and _then_ interrogate? Wrong order. Doesn't sound like she's got any reason to participate. You might remind her of that.
Connor Smith
That's not how it works.
Robert Sullivan
Not how what works? After you're terminated, you're really under no obligation any longer.
Jaxson Smith
LOL. you're such a fucking beta faggot.
Joseph Lee
See He explicitly said that they would question her, then after that, terminate her.
Op, sometimes you have to do hard shit. If she cries, you can gently say you understand why she's upset, but this isn't the end of world. It doesn't mean she's a bad person, just someone that made a mistake and/or this job requires more than she can do at this time in her life. Learn from it and move on. If you want to contact her afterwards, you can.
Robert Gomez
They are obviously going to do that before signing papers. And it would mean more work for me also. We shared a few projects.
Logan Kelly
You got to grow a set and go to prison for beating the living shit out of the people who fired her.
Logan Green
Dude the less words that I say, the better. I'm going to choke hard I don't know why they can't just tell her and let her come back tomorrow to sign papers and get information. Fuck
Cooper Smith
The wait is killing me as well, they delayed it 30 minutes, and they still have not come and got her
Joshua Butler
advice: get her ph#
Nathan James
Have it. Theyve just taken her away. ;_;
Eli Clark
So... why are they firing her?
Blake Long
Curious how this turns out. Good luck Op.
Andrew Gray
Well at least you know She’ll be happier at her next job, these guys are knobs.
Jaxson Bennett
Got a new satanic bitch of a office manager who brought a big change of rules. And she didn't comply. Manager even yelled at her in front of everyone the other day. I could barely stand seeing that and couldn't hold back saying "what the fuck" out loud.
Luke Perez
1) Find a new job, but don't take it yet. 2) Confront the office manager's boss about how she's harming the company. 3) Ask for promotion. 4) Take promotion or take new job.
I would not advise doing nothing with your current situation. It will become intolerable to you.
Jaxon Williams
talk to her before that, show simpathy. and during the whole thing just put a bored face, like you don't want to be there doing that.
Jeremiah Wood
Ain't my boss. I work in a different department. It's complicated.
Leo Flores
What a fag.
Grayson Lewis
>t.some kid who's never worked for someone else Never give ultimata to an employer. They will brand you as insubordinate and start looking for your replacement.
She should probably see an employment lawyer, if she can afford to.
Angel Moore
Tell your fuckhead boss your not comfortable doing it... just say shes your gf... fuck them
Brayden Wood
t. sheeple working his way to the middle
Grayson Rodriguez
Sure it's more complicated than a five-line post in Sup Forums. But you're too invested in to want to stay. Find new work.
Read step one. Got to have an alternative. Having been in a hiring position before, I can tell you that losing people is expensive. Not so expensive if you're a zero-skill pleb, mind, but still not nothing. An organization that won't listen and act on feedback about a manager that's making a toxic environment isn't any place you want to be.
Noah Harris
I read step 1, which doesn't make step 3 sound any less self-interested and, frankly, toxic. Why would you be concerned about the company losing money anyway, if you've got a new one?
Bentley Allen
>Why would you be concerned It's not that you're concerned, is that whoever you're talking to in the company is concerned. It's all about understanding the motives of the people you're talking to. Hard concept on Sup Forums, I know. but try.
Isaac Bailey
Welp, I did it, it was hard to do, I never looked at her the whole time. Fuck.
Joseph Edwards
That's just weak shit she's gonna think you're a pussy. At least looking at her with a glum face she understands you're not okay with it - this just made you look like a person with chronic anxiety
Jordan Myers
I eschew management positions. I'm happy being comfortable.
I've learned that some employers value discipline, control, and security more than income. An employer who hires such an office manager, and who is almost certainly in the loop on the details of this termination since it is literally his unemployment insurance premium at stake, is probably one of these. Opprtunistically "asking for a promotion" seems more like what the hell-beast of a manager did. But hey, that's just my oldfag experience over the course of a dozen employers all up and down the scale.
Stop larping anytime, insecure beta.
Luke Martinez
say to your boss "fuck you i dont want to do it'' then threaten to take him to fair work if he pushes you to participate. say hes giving you an anxiety attack.
oh you already dun did it like a liddly bish
Robert Hernandez
Actually I did look at her, a lot, don't know what I'm saying. She would not even speak, just nod.
I did nothing. Said I'd get in touch with her via text after she left I think hr realized she was not in shape for asking questions
Jack Butler
I don't even want to go to work tomorrow now, I'm beyond depressed
