Is Rick and Morty the best show of all time?

Is Rick and Morty the best show of all time?

no

/thread

I doubt we'll ever find the perfect show

And the way it's going, fuck no, season 3 is a fucking disaster

obliviously yes OP, this other poster cleary doesnt watch the show. It takes a high IQ to watch anything but Rick and Morty even more so

YES IT'S SO AMAZING!

I forced my daughter to watch it and i think she starts liking it THAT'S SO GREAT IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY.

PICKLE RICK HAHAHAHAHAH XDD

Haha!! I'm pickle SIXXXX!!!!

yes,it is
It is a very intelligent and clever show
you got to be very smart to understand the jokes and its subtle humour
BEST SHOW EVER
I WISH I WAS LIKE RICK

it's because the writers became "diverse"

...

Wubba lubba dub dub!

Rick and morty is just a cheap PJs knock off

Sage

Yes, I already knew that

Thanks Dan

...

Haha, I remember that show. It was complete shit and I almost always changed it when it came on.

>I doubt we'll ever find the perfect show

Haven't you seen the big bang theory or How I met your mother?

Damn it I kek'd hard

Better than rick and morty

It's not even the best cartoon of the last 5 years, let alone the best fucking show of all time.

Best show: game of thrones (first 4 seasons only)

Best cartoon: Avatar

Best show last 5 years: Mr Robot

Best cartoon last 5 years: Gravity Falls

Nah fool obviously the best show in this universe of 3d is The Eric Andre Show, the best cartoon is Scooby Doo, the best show in the last five years is the meme review, and the best cartoon in 5 years is the problem solverz

:^)

It was

autism

>best show
The Sopranos / The Wire
>best cartoon
Death note / one punch man
>best show last 5 years
Better call saul

Dat counts as animu yah fucking dingus

Well i look at them as animations, but technically you're right.

If you're not posting that ironically then you're fucking retarded!

it became mainstream so its shit now

It's not just because it became mainstream, the writing in the third season has a lot of flanderization, almost every episode consist of people yelling at each other for no good reason other than Rick being an asshole all the time, compared to the previous season you could actually feel him care at least a little bit

I'm sorry to inform this forum that whether or not a show is good is a question of taste. Every show attaches a few fans and every show is someone's pain in the ass.
And I personally think that Rick and Morty was great, the new season had some low moments but I guess that's just because you generally hate any content belonging to a franchise you just discovered that was publicized after one discovered the franchise for the first time.

Yeah and that second guy I agree.
I would love to see summer return to the status of background character.

ya given that if rick is really that intelligent he cant just justify not giving a fuck about anything just because of the infinite time line crap

Oh god I HATE summer so much, I don't give a shit about her, preach it brother!

Of course not. It never was. It's a good show. There's nothing wrong with it but it's never been some kind of transcendental entertainment for the autistic geniuses among us. It's just kind of funny (except for when it's not) and there's not much more to it than that.

Every show that ever hits gets this same shit treatment where people over-value it immensely.

Hype culture is cancer

>Death note
>One punch man
>calling me autistic

Loud music times yelling about potato chips does not equal dramatic

Breaking Bad is much better than the sapronos or the wire, and avatar is better than breaking bad

Now that I think about it the best show in the last 5 years actually is a cartoon

Pic related

pretty much

Season 3 had moments but they were fewer and farther between. I do think it's got something to do with the writers no longer focusing so tightly on just Rick and Morty. Trying to add diversity to the writers room was probably a mistake. You add good writers and whatever they turn out to be then so be it not the other way around. I know the shows creators say that's what they did but the way they went on about how great it was to bring in all those women says that's bullshit.

I don't know, maybe there are just so many funny stories you can tell about Rick and Morty so a change was inevitable. I don't worry about it that much.

if you're a psuedo-intellectual closet autist - like 1/2 of burgerland - its the perfekt show for youuu

>Breaking Bad is much better than the sapronos or the wire, and avatar is better than breaking bad
hahahahahhahahahhahahahahah

The first season was actually funny because it was simply meant to be funny.

Now the series is trying too hard to focus on the stupid character psyche and hidden back story or whatever

to be fair sometimes its kinda cool like the evil morty thing but if they could just care less about trying to make the series some philosophical representation of shit using humour rather than just focus on being funny that would be great

It's enjoyable, but no

Oh so how come they're both perhaps in the top 10 most popular shows of the last decade? You just have shitty taste.

Sup Forums has always been full of people looking for boogeymen. There are so many bigots here unlike Sup Forums because of the subject matter.

Anime is just either sexual exploitation, edginess for the sake of edginess, nonsensical writing that doesn't even make sense for the creators themselves, or dumb over-the-top action.

If you want to experience something good, you need to explore other mediums, like western animation.
Samurai Jack and Avatar: The Last Airbender are delicious.

*Inhale*

TO BE FAIR, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A VERY HIGH IQ TO UNDERSTAND RICK AND MORTY. THE HUMOUR IS EXTREMELY SUBTLE, AND WITHOUT A SOLID GRASP OF THEORETICAL PHYSICS MOST OF THE JOKES WILL GO OVER A TYPICAL VIEWER’S HEAD. THERE’S ALSO RICK’S NIHILISTIC OUTLOOK, WHICH IS DEFTLY WOVEN INTO HIS CHARACTERISATION- HIS PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY DRAWS HEAVILY FROM NARODNAYA VOLYA LITERATURE, FOR INSTANCE. THE FANS UNDERSTAND THIS STUFF; THEY HAVE THE INTELLECTUAL CAPACITY TO TRULY APPRECIATE THE DEPTHS OF THESE JOKES, TO REALISE THAT THEY’RE NOT JUST FUNNY- THEY SAY SOMETHING DEEP ABOUT LIFE. AS A CONSEQUENCE PEOPLE WHO DISLIKE RICK & MORTY TRULY ARE IDIOTS- OF COURSE THEY WOULDN’T APPRECIATE, FOR INSTANCE, THE HUMOUR IN RICK’S EXISTENTIAL CATCHPHRASE “WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB,” WHICH ITSELF IS A CRYPTIC REFERENCE TO TURGENEV’S RUSSIAN EPIC FATHERS AND SONS. I’M SMIRKING RIGHT NOW JUST IMAGINING ONE OF THOSE ADDLEPATED SIMPLETONS SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS IN CONFUSION AS DAN HARMON’S GENIUS WIT UNFOLDS ITSELF ON THEIR TELEVISION SCREENS. WHAT FOOLS.. HOW I PITY THEM.

AND YES, BY THE WAY, I DO HAVE A RICK & MORTY TATTOO. AND NO, YOU CANNOT SEE IT. IT’S FOR THE LADIES’ EYES ONLY- AND EVEN THEN THEY HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY’RE WITHIN 5 IQ POINTS OF MY OWN (PREFERABLY LOWER) BEFOREHAND. NOTHIN PERSONNEL KID

You are a CUNT get off my /b.

Prove me wrong faggot

Let's list all the thing that are running Rick and Morty

-The over obsessed fan base
-The force diversity in writers room
-The notion that Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland can't do anything wrong (I guess you can add this to the fandom aswell)

What else can we add

hey kid, so you are a bieber fan because it was in the top 10 music charts? or ur just shitposting

Seen every episode. 6/10

>Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad once said “Without Tony Soprano, there would be no Walter White” So its most definitely better than Breaking Bad. Historically speaking The Sopranos is a milestone in television drama.

GOT yes. The rest no. But to each their own.

How can one be so based!
You disgustig fucking normie!

He's actually good now and has been since over the last few years.

Hell yeah, we are in the golden age of serialised western animation

watched all three series' after the whole world wouldn't shut up about it one way or another.

never gets as good as the first five episodes. rick was a different character back then. sometime halfway through the first series the character became self conscious went from being a straight up oddball to a shit version of dee from sunny shouting MUTHAFUCKAAAA after every third line.

what i disliked most about Avatar is how underpowered the fire nation is. every character you see show off super powerful earth- or waterbending that you wonder how the hell the fire nation could have conquered anything at all.

i mean they are quite literally being beaten by children, not even counting the avatar himself.

Subjective. People like different things. Rick and Morty is a good show, but if a show was the best show to everyone, it's have to induce orgasms and psychedelic-like trances.

To some extent this show served as the inspiration for another show

Therefore it's better than that other show.

Is that really your point? How does that make it better than breaking bad?

im not here to argue with you which fictional character is better than which but just because one is inpired by the other it doesn't automatically make either of the "definitely better"

Felix the cat, Ren and Stimpy and Futurama did it better.

Current times appeal only to complete retards.

Just because it inspired the creator doesn't mean it's fucking better

You're probably one of those cunts that pretends to love Charlie Chaplin movies and say it's the greatest comedy of all time because it inspired so much.

Just because something is fucking old doesn't mean it's good. Every single frame of breaking bad is there for a reason, Sopranos isn't even as good as adventure time

the first season was amazing i don't know what happened that slowly made it shit starting from the second season

I watched Breaking Bad the first time after it aired a couple of three years ago and had the luxury to binge through all seasons and really enjoyed it a lot. Then after some time went pass, I decided to do a rewatch, but I couldn't get through 5 Episodes, since it is so plot driven compared to The Sopranos or The Wire.
On the rewatch I found BB to be quite superficial and predictable, whereas The Wire and The Sopranos are much richer in character development, offer subtle details, metaphors or similes and have a artistic approach, which is much more "meta" than Breaking Bad.
You can enjoy Breaking Bad one time and it's a hell of a ride, but I would consider The Wire and Sopranos more as a visual novel and rewatching Wire and Sopranos is so much more redeemable and you find many details on every rewatch.

>i don't know what happened
Jews

haha i had completely forgotten this series ever existed

There's no perfect creations, only the illusion that they are

No, it's not even the best cartoon.

Still fun to watch though.

The airbenders and waterbenders have small populations, it's pretty much imperial Japan stomping on Tibetan monks and indeginous tribes. They're still in the process of conquering the earth kingdom, which they fail to do.

But fuck that shit anyway, it's about the characters. Zuko and Iroh have the greatest relationship in the history of telivision

I think Breaking Bad is more popular because any average Joe can watch it and understand the story line. But with the Sopranos you need to use your own intelligence and intellect to piece together the different subplots.
As you said the references, literacy and intelligence of the writing in the Sopranos for me will never ever be touched.
What I will say though is Bryan Cranston for me is one of the only few actors who can come anywhere near Gandolfini in terms of influencing and making a television character iconic. Those two are on a different planet.

yes but only really intelligent people with 150+ IQs can fully get it

Dense cunt

the kids on these two shows, they’re all pretty insufferable, actually. Is it wrong to wish the handicapped further harm? Walter White Jr. is lazily drawn, seeming to appear from an after-school special, his concerns focusing abstractly around discrimination and being a big ingrate when presented with a new car. Speaking of ingrates, A.J. Soprano plays drums in the house, does drugs, and struggles with his identity. But instead of running from it as Walt Jr. does (by demanding his name be changed to the laughably ill-fitting Flynn), A.J. creepily adopts his dad’s mob roots, taking them for a spin within his own social circle. He experiments with violence and with the clout the Soprano name buys him at clubs. Like daddy, he struggles with depression. By the end of the show, he is well on his way to fulfilling his parents’ dreams — and realizing his own potential as New Jersey’s shadiest party promoter. A.J. is more poorly behaved than poorly drawn.

Meadow, meanwhile, is a host body for the outside world. Breaking Bad does not have such a character (Holly is still an infant, so give her time). Meadow shows us how a thinking woman, an honor roll student, would survive in the Soprano house. She shows us what it might be like to date the daughter of a mob boss. The control in the experiment, she represents the real world for the characters and the viewers alike. She may look like a waste of space, but let us remember: It’s her voice that brings a comatose Tony back to life. I’ve always thought this is why she owns the last shot of the show.

>an entire medium is bad. I've said so.

Okay retard Thu k what you want.

Most anime are shit the same way most cartoons are shit the same way that most shows are shit. If you can't understand thatg and find the things you can enjoy then you're an idiot.

Spotted the low iq, intelectually inferior (to most people) moron.

i watched sopranos pretty recently at lol what subplots

>Steins;Gate
>Fullmetal Alchemist 2003
>Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood
>death note
>the original dragon ball

These are the 5 anime that aren't complete garbage, the rest is fucking awful

I think a major factor of the Avatar series is that the characters you follow are INCREDIBLY EXCEPTIONAL. Toph is literally the best Earthbender in the world, and she's like 10. Katara is a master-level waterbender at 14. Ignoring Aang being the avatar, he's still an exceptional air-bender and is mostly focused on evasion. Sokka proves later that despite being young, he is good enough a combatant and tactician that he is PUT IN CHARGE of the offensive against the Fire Nation by more experienced adults.

So if you look at it like 99% of earthbenders, waterbenders, and airbenders don't come even halfway close to the talents of the main characters, the fact that the Fire Nation steamrolled them makes a lot more sense. Not to mention that a lot of the warmachines the Fire Nation employed were specifically designed to neutralize the tactics and weapons of the other nations.

The Sopranos without a doubt. Breaking Bad had an entertaining story with some fantastic cinematography, but The Sopranos was so much more complex and multilayered. Tony Soprano is a much more compelling character than Walter White as well, not that Bryan Cranston didn't do a good job. The quality of the writing is just better.

You've watched every other anime?

You're a fucking idiot dude, there are tons of anime that are way better than anything you listed there and you don't even know they exist.

What about Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex?

8/10. Futurama, Simpsons and South Park are immortal. But South Park and Simpsons are garbage now.

nice bojack wallpaper , ty

>Sopranos is complex
>you need a high IQ for sopranos because it's so multi layered

God I hope you never have kids.

No that's shit too

But that reminds me of movies, all Anime films are great. Unless it's not by Miyazaki, then it's pornographic garabage

Fucking kek full circle

WRONG

>Evangelion
>Berserk
>Space Dandy

Fullmetal Alchemist is actually terrible if you're over the age of 12.

all i know is i outgrew the series. just like naruto or any other cartoon where children magically can beat adults

Dan Harmon's narcissistic personality disorder is what ruined the show for me. Cannot tolerate him trying to stroke his own ego through the Rick character. Insufferable

>But with the Sopranos you need to use your own intelligence and intellect to piece together the different subplots.
Yeah man you found the only show with depth that you were ever able to parse I guess. Good for you. That doesn't mean other shows don't have depth though, just that you can't see it.

He is or the songwriters his label chooses for him are?

Futurama was garbage when it went to the comedy channel.

Zombie simpsons needs to be put down. It's just pure cringe.

South park isn't amazing but it's still funny.

It's like watching a novel, try reading Anna Karenina or Crime and Punishment, you won't be able to follow up with the story with a mental capacity of the average idiot who watches Rick And Morty and considers himself smart.

he would need to meet a woman actualyl willing to touch him first

He is, you dumb faggot.

I find it entertaining. Not watching it to reach enlightenment, but I like the animation and the randomness of it. It is a fun show to watch. No sure how the IQ thing started. I've seen more complex themes in Futurama.

>I am too mature to enjoy a good story

Great for you, fuck off

>it's another "retard who's only watched 5 anime says that those 5 anime he's watched are the only good ones" episode
