Literally just dropped this a moment ago. Slowed it down on this one. Recs above. Leaving feedback on SC. Will return all feedback, likes and follows as always.
upgrade mic everything I heard on your page feels so genuine and raw. Keep at it man I think you should network more and start checking out labels gonna need to take a shower after getting drenched in all that reverb. Voice needs practice big time you don't have any finished products I can critique cookie-cutter stuff. A little practice is all you need. I'd say a good start is to focus on your drums works, but I've enjoyed other flips of this sample more than yours you keep getting better and more comfortable with your style keep at it not a fan top notch production, but you're nothing new screaming needs work but I like the general energy here
don't wanna do the whole thread, just trying to stir up some conversation
Had a two new releases in the last couple months. Really starting to get a sound that I like. Lemme know what you guys think :) returning all feedback on soundcloud Wave >Ambient >Chill Trap
Tell me your thoughts, I'd really appreciate it. Hopefully I'll drop something new in a few days Legit lofi drum work Wow. The layers, man...really good stuff ( And great bass work on 'Interludio')
grim is just my thing - love the guitar samples and the relaxed but menacing vibe. Scum Renaissance was equally cool track. Nothing to criticise track-wise, but the loud, thick and bass-heavy production kills the lo-fi vibe imo.
Fav track: Self-Exile & Pure Fucking Filth. Both hit the right balance between metal and post-rock. Production is very good, I especially like the audible and often playful bass and how the vocals sit in the mix. but in terms of delivery the vocals are the weakest part of the record. They are evil, but monotonous, maybe experiment with high pitched squells, gang vocals, or something like that.
I like the bare bones sound of Without Texture. It's quite a trip with headphones. The stereo image really makes it come alive. And I like the overall very dry sound on that album. The more techno oriented sounds (or whatever you want to call them) on the 2nd half of The Serendipitous Ones turned me off really quickly. But thats a pure taste-thing. Fav tracks: catacombs rave and irrationality in the badlands.
I listened to alot of em. I feel like once you started adding the voice samples, your songs sounded more immersive. Ya they were a lil repetitive sometimes but over all they add direction and i enjoyed your chops
as far as your latest track. vocals were a low but soothing.. keep pushin man
i also like the bass sliding warp effect. -blue_giant
Maybe a rapper could kill it but right now it sounds like an 8 bar loop stretched out for 5 mins. Throw some bass drops in there homie. Or some snare rolls. some risers/fillers. maybe melody up an octave or down one experiment with melody
Let it take me somewhere. Instead of always resolving every 8 bars. Maybe throw a turn over in there. a break. something to vary it up
I did not say this to hurt your feelings, and I am not an expert.
Sketch of a song I'm working on, just got a condenser so I can record drums/vocals. Still trying to work out the progression of the song, also I want it to sound more Yacht Rock ish.
Will deliver fb on sc

Okay..
Beat = Tight
Guitar/Bass/Percussion = Also Tight
Lyrics = Sweet
Vocals/Delivery = ... Man I wanted to like the vocals so bad. But I couldn't.. I know it was a demo but it kept pulling me out of the chill. I liked the idea of the high pitched stuff. The melody you were going for was awesome. I just felt like the delivery wasn't there.

I know what you mean, I was trying to write like Todd Rudgren, but the vocals are in such a weird place for my range (or maybe its my voice lol).
Sounds like you got yourself some groovey dance music right here :)
transitions are smooth and this would be a great track to drop at a party. Admittedly I dont think it would tear down the house, but it would definitely get some butts moving IMO
I listened to soundcloud.com/jet_thuman/dangerfield
you need to clean up the vocals. Throw a filter on that bitch and lower the low end. keep it hot around 3k - 8k. Ur shit will come out real crisp if you want that.
There's your help ;)
I mean you got bars..
If we were in a freestylecircle and you drop this Id be impressed.
Bro why you got hate on your self tho.
you could be just as hard and say "Get respect/get respect Im a piece of shit but I still get respect"
I like the contrast of the sweet as beat on your vile lyrics
I hope you aint fucking wit that speed tho homie keep ya nose clean fr
I write music and have finished songs. My only problem is I don't know how to record -- I sing acoustically and play acoustically too. I'm poor and use my phone voice memos app to record. I'm sure people will laugh me out iof here with stuff like that, but I badly want critique.
Honestly, someone (maybe you) should just record an entire project with your phone memo app or whatever you use. If the songs and performance are good, they will stand on their own. To be honest, I would prefer a "songwriting" thread to "SoundCloud/prod" thread.
Production is overrated. Well written songs are underrated.
