because it's fun

If I were to hazard a guess, I would suggest that they gave them away or sponsored artists to make use of them, and as such they have done, thereby increasing their notability and making it more likely that more people will buy them

hipster noob trap for people who are 2 cool to use a computer or one of those 90s roland workstations.

>everywere

what

new model so old owners are letting them go

Because you keep promoting it. The only place I've seen this is on Sup Forums.

and in my recommended youtube videos for some reason; nice quads tho

quads of truth

Is it still worse than an electribe?

retards

wut?

Are they everywhere? I looked at them, but they seem like a lot of money for what they are.

>Same company has now released the first new camera to use polaroid film
Jesus Christ - do they vet their customers for moustaches and bad tattoos before allowing a purchase?

It's not. It's Volcas and Microbrutes that are everywhere.

it's made for stupid people, that's why

Definitely this. Some places actually sell sets of volcas here in the UK. Soon, I assume volcacore will be a genre.

In their defense, there's definitely a niche for instant physical copies of photos. Not everyone wants all their memories on a phone.

This is easier to believe when looking at the rest of their products.

>gigantic TI-caculator sized synth modules that are battery powered
>one function per module, shitty cost per function ratio altogether
>lol no it doesnt come in a case, why would it? That costs extra

Basically lobotomized Volca concept, minus MIDI and other useful features.

Charging extra for a case is just plain exasperating

It really is puzzling, especially considering that each module had its own case to go with it in the first place, iirc.

Just seems like a shoddy way to "keep prices down" while still over charging for a product now lacking even the most basic amenities

>came out in 2011
>still no significant price drop
lmao

Microbrutes are a pretty good deal tho, if you're big on hardware

OP-1 is just an incomplete workstation which does not look so terrifying, but actually has one of the worst workflow

>all of the sudden
its been hot since it came out

Microbrute is actually a killer synth. Even if you don't use it as synth it's still $250 for a midi/cv converter, midi clockable LFO, auxiliary envelope, and a nice filter.

I can't believe I actually bought one of these pieces of shit

How do I learn to play a synthesizer? I have dick musical experience but they look so fucking fun to play

this unironically
