Mostly religion.

Because that's the frame bourgeois libs have pounded into your head through all media and education since childhood.

They have more empathy and therefore put their blind faith into the system. The less empathetic ones didn't go into science but into more lucrative careers.

Nice source.

Modern """Science""" is funded by the ZOG to push and promote their agenda.

Intelligent people are able to fit in easier I guess.

Science is a tool, not an imperative.

Libs have anti science beliefs

-Anti-GMO
-Anti-Nuclear
-Race is a social construct
-gender is a social construct

I really do feel a big attraction of the left is actually admitting that global warming is a real thing and evolution happened and blah blah blah. If the right were to embrace these things it would pull in more young people.

They seriously asked every single scientist?

Scientists were mostly secular nerds in school. How do you think a nerd in school would want society to act?

>No bullying
>Everyone is equal
>Cuckholding is okay
>Star Trek government

People rarely change user

Their science is subsidized.

Real science motherfuckers hate the gubmint, and acknowledge freedom.

Republicans want smaller Federal Government, less spending = fewer grants for research

the political affiliations of research scientists are almost entirely due to self interest.

All intellectuals go to university. The ideas of the left do not work, so the only place that they can propagate is in universities where ideas do not need to work to spread. As a result, most intellectuals get brainwashed into the cult while studying, it takes a strong mind to resist it and think for yourself. And out of those few who resist the brainwashing, only half would be Republican

It makes them easier for the corporations that run the GOP to control.

What source? Define "scientists." Are you counting only people with doctorates and only in the natural sciences?

the Jews give out bullshit like this but never have a source. Here's another random jpg, just as valid:

People in academia tend to be leftists because big government is literally their life-blood, and how they survive. I know this because I have lived and worked in academia for 3 years as a graduate student.
>get money for living from the government
>can apply for additional money from the government
>contribute no value to society, so only option is to live off welfare
>plus, everyone else is leftist, since that's how echo chambers work
Yeah, technically I was a "student," but I did have responsibilities teaching undergrad classes, and I did receive a paycheck. The professors are just glorified versions of what I was. The only difference is number of responsibilities and that they get more money.

Then again, being a graduate student was what finally convinced me that my future did not lie in academia.

Engineers

That part is really something that does make sense to me. Scientists require funding somehow. Reddit just seems to be a circle jerk of "omg look at diz science stuff us liberals are so smart" thing and it does really seem to be something that brings in young pepes so we should do that too.

Same with the right
- Global Warming isn't real
- Vaccines cause autism
also don't forgot the left's
- Homeopathy is actual medicine

It's a fucking shit show, this is why I'll never say I'm a left winger or a right winger, I don't want to be associated with either sides retarded points of view.

>Their science is subsidized.
This. I bet if you polled actual R&D scientists from companies like Space X, Monsanto, Pfizer, etc., you'd find a lot more conservatives, but somehow these people aren't considered "scientists" because their employers own their intellectual property and they don't get to put their names on it.

here's your answer lol this is who you signed up to agree with

next time don't form your opinions solely based on whether or not you'll fit in on an imageboard for NEET basement dwellers

heh, small neighborhoods in los angeles get flags now

was this intended as an argument?

People with conservative values tend to run businesses and raise families
People with liberal tendencies tend to turn to STEM degrees at the expense of economic literacy and work ethic

every lab I've ever worked in was funded mostly by NIH grants

Hmm I wonder why scientists who have spent most of their lives in leftist establishments and most likely work for a university that gets most of their money for the goverment would want to vote that way?

Science is the ultimate redpill
Advance humanity at any cost.
Future proof our species against extinction
Facts and statistics matter feelings dont.
Wish more esoteric projects got funded but apparently thats a human rights violation.

in the state the scientific community is currently in why would you object to being anti science?
Unless you identify with that club.

This is the equivalent of saying "94% of priests in the early Middle Ages did not identify as heretics."

If that were valid, it would be a high number. Even as cucked as "establishment" Republicans are, why publicly admit something certain to destroy your career and leave you homeless?

this is why the old "Republican party" is no more in the JewSA. How long can you go on telling people to die for Israel is in their interests?

By the way too global warming does exist and C02 contributes to it. I don't understand why conservatives are so butthurt about this. Grow up.

>Homeopathy is actual medicine

that's leftist bullshit. it's part of the policy of the American Green Party, don't know about your Greens

Jill Stein, who earned an MD from Harvard, is anti-vaccine and pro-alternative medicine.

mises.org/library/why-intellectuals-still-support-socialism

>hurr neeet bazement dwelllerrrrs!!!!!!

yes

funny how you didnt have a response

guess it worked

fuck off now aspie

Hit the nail on the head. I work half for a publicly traded biotech company and half for a university. I voted conservative in the last election, as did my boss, and HIS boss actually recently gave a speech on business in science at a conservative rally

My colleagues and friends in the university, on the other hand, are far left with most of them voting for the Green Party.

t. an actual scientist

Because happy people don't need to tell other people what their reality is.

>global warming does exis
"climate Change" exists and the climate has always been changing. Se "the little ice age" in 14th century Europe that caused a famine.

We haven't had the instruments to properly measure over a long enough time period to say this.

It's an excuse for the Jews to institute a
Cap n' Trade" so the West can start being forced to move vast quantities of shekels to the Third World for no reason...with the Jews who orchestrated it taking their piece, of course.

Oi Vey, I gottta eat kosher too, right?

I'm in grad school for pharmacology and have worked in academic science for over four years. Here's what's good.

I think overall I've met one scientist (M.D. PhD) who was an open lefty. She's a middle aged woman btw and she's very aggressive about her support of Hillary which is pretty unprofessional in my opinion.

Everyone else either won't talk politics or is absolutely uninterested in politics. It's best not to get into politics since hurting someone's feelings can get you into trouble with your institution.

Mostly I just think anyone who cares enough about science fields to do academia over higher paid industry is just a autism lord and could care less.

Also scientists in the private sector are still considered scientists by academics. Supposedly that wasn't always the case but shit changed and people are disillusioned with academia these days.

As far as funding goes there is very little government funding these days and an insanely saturated pool of people applying for grants. Most people are now looking for other routes of funding as either their sole source of research bux or as a supplement. And just to dispel any myths about grant money, professors can't use it to buy cars and shit, the university takes the money and puts it into a research fund and gives you your grant money only for things you put onto a purchase requisition. They also partially own anything you patent during your career at the institution

>Space X

bad example. they're propped up entirely by the government, just like Musks's other venture, Tesla

it's like the faggot got a copy of a Matthew Lesko book.

his stupid hyperloop is the next fraud he's unloading on the Feds

Left wingers are uneducatdd

>global warming does exist and C02 contributes to it

It's called climate change and has existed since the beginning of time.
Now lookup the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, it's influence on plant growth and how much atmospheric CO2 could be reduce by human behavior changes. But as a leaf cuck I bet you rather smoke a joint instead of acting like a real intellectual

Intelligent people are haughty and overestimate their intelligence. Therefore, they tend towards thinking they are equipped to control and engineer society.

They are intelligent, but not wise.

THE ROOS ARE WAKING UP.

All good and dandy, but when the right wing has people like Alex Jones yelling and screaming, turning his face red and slamming his desk and screaming about the globalists, you start to realize that the right does a really shitty job of attracting intellectuals overall. Then only the dumb hicks with low IQ's listen to the message and the movement becomes dumbed down overall.

fuggin' rare

Where's the argument?

If you're an intelligent right winger, you know not to openly express your views if you want a job.

>Yeah, technically I was a "student," but I did have responsibilities teaching undergrad classes
how did you work that out? i am starting grad school and i'd like to pick up some money teaching

As an intellectual myself, the right is very unattractive and frankly embarrassing to be associated with. Conspiracy theorists, global warming deniers, creationists, God worshipers, ect. All those things are really outdated and are not a good look I don't blame people for passing us by.

you were deficient one (1) argument
ad homenim isn't an argument
>As an intellectual myself
A self-identified Canadian intellectual speaks.

Yah I stated it was leftist bullshit that was left out in your post, also forgot the denial of evolution for right wingers, both sides are idiots when they try to claim science as their own since they both put their fingers in their ears and go la la la, when science says something they don't like.

I would love to know the sauce on that poll.

University professors? I can believe that most are registered democrat. why? They want tenure and know damn well if they are GOP or Independent / Libertarian they will never get tenure. So they lie about their political belief to get Tenure and to stay off the radar of the new progressive inquisition.

Scientists in business? Often times they have to deal with people who have no business being considered their "equals" and those are the kind of people who will go to HR to report anything that "offends" them. So they keep their political views to themselves.

source - ME. I work for a large pharmaceutical company in a management capacity and nobody but NOBODY knows I am voting for Trump. I even had several SJW co-workers ask me (in a group) why I wasn't a registered Democrat. (Lucky for me I am registered Independent - I figured this might happen and I wanted to be prepared). I told them that I don't like labels so I go with Independent. One of them said to me "How can you vote for Bernie Sanders then?" and she literally pulled out a registration card and wanted me to fill it out.

(I of course told them that I was Independent and would remain that way. They were visibly angry and left in a puff.)

So you want to know why many conservatives are not out in the open in not just science? Now you know.

BTW - it is progressives that are the anti-science types. They are the book burners and the "safe space" types that demand no thinking and just follow and do what they are told.

Canadians know better then to deny global warming. Only American conservatives still are autistic about it.

>embarrassing to be associated with
also, the self-identified intellectual ends his sentences with prepositions.

I see

reading is hard, friend.

also, anti-nuclear for the left. they think reactors can blow up like atomic bombs.

I really shouldn't be wasting me time with you. You shouldn't need hand-holding here.

Are the left not also embarrassing? Think of how anti-science they are. They accept global warming when it suits their interests of taxing, micromanaging society, etc. But as soon as science presents a solution (such as nuclear power), they ignore it and resort to their feels. there are countless examples of this.

Also, why do you find the need to "associate" with the Right? Such single-dimensional thinking is dangerous.

If you can validate the need to associate yourself with the "Right", then do your best to break whatever bad images are out there.

because the education centers are lefitst-indoctrination centers

if all the colleges had courses on scientific racism and Hitler Studies, I'm sure most scientsits would be members of the nazi party

Ugh, what drivel. This is why you need to do your own thinking. I get tired of repeating myself.

Don't forget that a lot of the scientists today are also social scientists

Don't forget that these social scientists used to support Mao Zedong in the 1960s
Don't forget that these social scientists used to support Hugo Chavez in the 2000s
Don't forget that these social scientists are supporting multiculturalism and socialism today

eh.

the thing is, the data for climate studies past 100 years ago are really, really shitty.

additionally, things like ice cores and tree rings only give info about relative climate, and are noisy as fuck because there are more things than just climate that affect both

when you consider geological time, I'd say the data we have are insignificant due to noise and sample size.

I fully acknowledge that something catastrophic could happen before we as a species obtain sufficient data if it's happening as quickly as they claim, but to say it's a scientific certainty is disingenuous.

because 94% of scientists were virgins and married some woman after she had ridden the cock carousel. these women are liberal and hence they force their view on cucked husbands

or this is image is bullshit and there is no source to prove its true

also check this out: not conforming to progressive ideals gets you ostracized from the scientific community
maybe theres a significant number of scientists who simply don't speak up because of that?

redice.tv/news/i-am-an-unperson-racist-dna-discoverer-forced-to-sell-nobel-prize-medal

Most right wing people aren't cultural marxists.

>evangelicals
there's your answer right there.
it's why everyone thinks religious people are dumb.
and why protestants are considered cancer even though most of them are tolerable.

lol

I got banned from /r/science for ranting that political science is not science.

fucking reddit niggers.

Studying for a PhD in physics, and I would NEVER publicly come out as conservative.

I'd be fucking crucified. Better to just stay quiet.

Consider it a blessing.

Like problem-glasses.

I accept using the scientific method, I'm not just not into scientific realism (believing everything science discovers is factually real) or scientistism (believing the only thing that's real is what science discovers)

Into philosophy & logicâ„¢ though

>most right wing people are highly uneducated and anti-science?

most left wing people are highly uneducated and anti-science

most people are highly uneducated and anti-science

RRRRAAAAAARRREEEE

Because if you come out as a republican you are suddenly not highly educated anymore because liberals say so doesnt matter what actual education you actually have.

Always found anti vaccers were on the left.

Both sides have their share of idiots, but the media shines a giant spotlight on the idiots of the right and pretends like the left doesn't exist. Don't eat the kosher bait.

imo, philosophy only covers things that are impossible to measure, or those we haven't yet found a way to measure.

for example, I believe that every philosophy of time will be eclipsed by physics sooner or later.

Whenever you're thinking, you're (trying/) doing philosophy

It's just a matter of how complexly and logically you do it

And just because you measure things doesn't mean the conclusions you're drawing regarding those things are factually correct

Conservative here.

It's because most conservatives are anti-intellectual trash. It's one of our side's biggest issues, but we wave it off 100%.

Fox news played a big role in this, constantly spinning everything for the republican party, making conservatives into idiots and confusing conservative concepts with GOP shilling. Making everyone think a conservative is a god and guns and traditional marriage demanding smug hick. That's what most of them are.

Science requires a certain naivete to perform. Sure scientists are smart, but they are also naive. Their notion of niggers is shaped by the top percentile black intellectuals they encounter in their circles. Their notion of society is based on idealism and trust. When someone among them dares to expose the truths they don't like they bully him like a bunch of kids and cut him off and stop talking to him. That happened to Watson of all people just because he stated some facts about Africa and niggers. The guy had to sell his Nobel prize medal.

When you let scientists rule you it's either ugly and outright wrong - if the scientists in question are redpilled - or it's retarded and leftist and doesn't last for very long - which is what happened at the dusk of every great nation in history, just before they slid into complete darkness of global irrelevance.

JEEEEEEEEEEEZUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I've met more libs that were ant-vaccine than Conservatives.

Goes with the whole "Vegan, gluten free, positive chakra no GMO" bullshit.

Scientists don't have to deal with knuckledragging niggers everyday, so that helps with being "tolerant".

Scientists care disproportionately about science (big surprise I know), and republicans being consistently anti-science and anti-intellectual for a while didn't endear scientists to them.

And finally because scientists care so much about science they don't have so much room left to care as much as we do about politics, Jews and their misdeeds, creeping Marxism, savage niggers and so on.

Anti-vaxxers aren't exclusively the left. Hippies make up about half of anti-vaxxers, but the other half is made up of ultra-conservative, hyper-religious, home school types. Also, I'm not sure what you meant, but the "climate change is a hoax" bullshit comes from the right, not the left.

She's like the Bobby Jindal of the left. The other example I use is someone like Elizabeth Warren. Basically, just people with strong backgrounds that should know the claims they are making are bullshit, but who knows?

>"climate change is a hoax" bullshit comes from the right, not the left.
the left's counterpart is "nuclear energy is bad"
both are funded by big oil and big energy.

So? Doctors are overwhelmingly Republican. Engineers are Republican. Scientists are Democrats

Fuck off shills

what's also interesting is that lefties may be drawn to research science, for whatever reason

my brother is a big lefty atheist, he's doing cancer science PhD

I'm, well, a Sup Forums tard, I chose medicine.

it's mind boggling, because in my opinion no one who has even finished a pre-med education should believe and advocate the things she does.

my sense of ethical right and wrong would prompt me to kill myself before I compromised myself like that

What'd you expect since payroll is overseen by teacher unions which tend to be liberal so they can tax more for research.

Because in school you get brainwashed

> Mostly I just think anyone who cares enough about science fields to do academia over higher paid industry is just a autism lord and could care less.

It's the research. If you are really passionate about your field, it's better to go into academia because your research is considerably more interesting. If you go into industry you make more money, but your work is way less interesting.

Climate change refers to the same thing global warming did. The term was changed because global warming is accurate (the earth's mean temperature is actually increasing), however, some areas will actually see colder mean temperatures (hence global warming is misleading). Also, CO2 really isn't the issue. The main issue is CFCs, N2O, and NH4 which are also caused by human intervention, but are several times more potent greenhouse gasses than CO2 (fluorinated gases have greenhouse gas potentials on the order of a couple 10,000x higher than CO2, N2O is something like 200-300x more potent than CO2, and NH4 is 25x more potent). They may be less common, but those are the gases doing most of the damage.

Nuclear power is bad doesn't really come from the left. That comes from the fact that most people don't understand it and are terrified of it (because they associate it with nuclear weapons).

Dr. Oz was the same way. I guess it's just a way to pander because nobody who actually understands this stuff would say these kind of things.

Rare.

>As an intellectual myself, the right is very unattractive and frankly embarrassing to be associated with. Conspiracy theorists, global warming deniers, creationists, God worshipers, ect. All those things are really outdated and are not a good look I don't blame people for passing us by.

Either bait or newfag. Sage OP is a huge faggot.

This only proves that
>right wing people tend to be productive
>scientists wants more government grants for BS research
>academia is biased towards right wingers
80 years ago academic was filled with right wingers that actually produced the theories of today and where huge entusiast of eugenics, that obviously changed when communism became mainstream but the tide is finally turning

Yo y'all said nuclear reactors are totally safe. What about the one's that got all fucked up in Japan a few years back?

Only in bullshit soft majors, not STEM. With STEM, there are some things that have very strong empirical backing (the earth being 4.5 billion years old as opposed to 6000, climate change happening and caused by human intervention, etc.) so it makes sense that the experts would agree. Most scientists are relatively apolitical, but the science denial on the right is pretty unattractive to them.

> right wing people tend to be productive

Maybe a small subset. Don't forget that for every Donald Trump, there are like 10 Cletuses who make meth in their trailers.

Do they count psychologists, sociologists, and political "scientists" as real scientists?

Left wingers are more educated, make higher salaries, consume less welfare, enjoy a higher quality of life, have longer life expectancies, generally are more tolerant and open minded of other people and their lifestyles, are more accepting of scientific facts, are in general less religious and more secular. It makes sense that young students are more open to the left than the right.
