Should be good. I can't think of the last bad released on Med School desu. That Whiney LP on Med School was a bit basic by the rest of the label's standards but it was still an overall solid release. Better than the majoirty of the shit out on Hospital, although I fucking loved Makoto's LP earlier this year. That was prime Hospital style Liquid Funk.
Ninja, promise you won't ever leave us
I wil because /bleep/ is dead.

I loved that whiney album. Lots of classic neurofunk influences, and the bass lines feel amazing. Flashlight is a favorite, and the unglued collab is great. The makoto album should be good also, but i am not liking that FVG album. It's a commercial shitfest
My favourite Med School LP in recent years is proabbly Anile - Perspective. If we went a little bit further back I really liked Etherwood's first LP, it's the kind of Liquid Funk I used to really like back when I was much more into it.
I've never liked a single Fred V & Grafix release, I view them as a shitty Netsky clone. The label seemed to be obsessed with recreating that style and even the old producers changed to try and match it resulting in a several year long shitshow. I knew Hospital was fucked when they managed to ruin Danny Bryd, he went from being my favourite producer on the label for over a decade to an afterthought in the space of a couple of years.
liquid is 100% irredeemable garbage
:/
was this supposed to prove me wrong
Not him, and I honestly think Netsky killed Liquid Funk to the point where it would never return to being good again (despite not really meaning to do it) but I still like this track.
youtube.com
And even worse, this.
youtube.com
Lmao no just felt like posting one of my favorite tunes from high school
Prefer 'intelligent' jungle
Used to love that remix of pendulum too loool
85% mind you

Med school is a label I love more then hospital just because they'll go somewhere nobody goes. Bop and keeno are my favorites who aren't whiney, and they've had spectacular Lp's. Hospital, however, has been in a funk of decent to shit albums. Urbandawn, however, had a great album and so did Metrik. The big 2 dnb labels have been shit this year, and instead stuff like methlab, eatbrain, dispatch, 1985, and ish chat have done spectacularly
This, and technimatics golden selection are my favorite liquid tracks. Too bad the genre took such a hit from netsky and dimension that they've become commercial as fuck. Some of them are okay, but nothing groundbreaking
Fucking hell i've just discovered Jega today and i'm obsessed
ninj i love you but liquid is shit how can you listen to it
I think I'm finally getting to the point where I'm tired of D&B now and only proper massive releases like Calibre's LP, Klute's LP or things in that sort of vein really still interest me. I find labels like Eatbrain and Methlab still a bit too similar to the sort of stuff I used to cane when I was younger so I don't get too excited about them. Even Exit/Samurai/Critical/Ingredients are heading in that direction for me. Like I never thought the day would come when I wouldn't be hyped over a Black Sun Empire LP, but when I heard The Wrong Room I liked it but it's just the same as the shit I've heard for over 10 years now. I do think 1985 Music is a awesome label though, and Med School always release good stuff.
I think for the last couple of years the hardcore/jungle revival stuff has mostly filled out my favourite releases of the year, with people like Special Request, FFF, Dead Man's Chest and for this year Nebula and Luke Vibert being the main sort of thing I'm digging. I find myself listening to D&B out of a weird compulsion rather than enjoyment now.
Although having said all that, pic related was incredible.
Because I will never stop liking Calibre, Klute and Marcus Intalex.

>tfw one of them is gone now
Methlab does have a lot of excitement in my opinion, but eatbrain has been slacking lately. The agressor bunx LP was a big letdown and the past 2 EPs haven't done much to impress me. But I do have high hopes for that dub elements EP.
I'm not into jungle, but I absolutely adore the new halftime stuff. It isn't perfect, but the shit is perfect for chilling out or getting fucked at festivals. And critical has been doing well, as they've had kasra and mefjus release one of the best singles of the year in conversion.
the occasional d&b tune that's not EDM garbage or by the numbers derivative bait still brings a smile to my face
*occasional new d&b tune, whoops
Any can't sleep man in
ffs i hate when people try to defend liquid by posting """""good""""" tracks
My man who are u lls
my girl s/t howiye
Seriously fuck off you melt
nobody likes you
lad, you baited me so hard into listening to the new klute lp the other day. can't say i regret it tho solid record all around, but bare honest would never consider listening to liquid d&b if i knew before hand hehe.
also pic related is awesome too, thanks for the reccy
I've never been that into Halftime, it's always been 2 slow 4 me. I appreciate it for what it is though and at the very least it's different. I do still follow everything on Critical except for Ivy Lab which I have never been able to get into.
This one was sick but wasn't feeling the other couple of releases on the same label.
m8, Klute is the kind of producer that you can't not listen to, you know that you're in for a minimum 7/10 releases with everything he puts out. Shit man I even like his stuff as The Stupids.
Listen to this next, I liked it, another Footwork type thing. Still haven't listened to new Jlin yet.
New phone who dis
Ivy lab does make some good liquid, and oblique is a legendary song. Too bad they constantly shift from the liquid to halftime. The tentacles remix they made, however, was incredible, and critical has done extremely well with their releases. Glad that enei and CV are on the label

UK Garage/RnB revival revival is back lads!
is 1080p really dead or is it just on hold?
>There will never be another current value album that's like stay on this planet
I want that style of DnB back
Bjork - Bjork Meets the Masters at Work [MP3, Vinyl]
>Deep house, garage house
Not my rip, somewhat obscure 10" released in the Debut era with 2 remixes of Violently Happy by Masters at Work. Basso Hitto Dubbo mix is great, but never got a wider release, maybe because of the Earth Wind and Fire sample that it uses heavily. 12" mix is okay, not Bjork's greatest song from Debut overall.
Lone - Ambivert Tools Volume Two [FLAC, Web]
>House, electronic, ambient
Latest from Lone, dreamy kaleidoscopic house that's dancefloor driven. Includes an ambient continuation of Mind's Eye Melody- really takes me somewhere, reminds me of Touhou for some reason.
>sample: youtube.com
I meant to put these in a sharethread, ill leave them anyway
