The odd thing is how perfectly I can relate to the description of life in the album. It so closely mirrors my own upbringing in a countryside hamlet in upstate New York.

Strange innit. I'm from one of the English shire counties and I've always felt a weird affinity with a lot of American folk and country music. Specially albums like Music from Big Pink and stuff like that.
