You get money out of politics, and the rest will write itself.

To combat climate change I propose that we send all the refrigerators to Antarctica. This might seem like a strange idea but if you think about it it's really not. Fridges make things cold, and climate change is making things hotter. If we plug all the fridges in and leave the doors open I think we may be able to combat climate change.

Holy fuck I just thought of a better idea and I wish to edit my paragraph.

Please replace fridge with freezer.

Blow up the sun.
No sun, no climate change.
Also, no life.
But that's overrated anyway.

Build a giant solar panel around the sun.
Place a massive quantity of AC units and solar lamps all over the world.
Power these with the energy generated from the sun's new panel shield.
Artificially change the temperature based on location until global warming is BTFO'd

Since climate change is intentional, we should first learn who is behind the arctic melting project. We should then find out for what purpose would there be an intention to melt the arctic. Over a century is a long term project, and it's intention could be as simple as opening up shorter shipping routes to Europe and Asia.
We should concurrently learn the basic scientific means by which melting the arctic is being accomplished, bearing in mind the exponential rate of advance in the technologies used to do so. Then when we have a decent picture of what is happening, we should then decide what we all, as regular people, should do about it.

>Stop burning coal
>Use only renewable enegy
>Make rebewable energy more efficient
>Make people actually realise that climate change is important

Instead of using nonrenewable sources of fuel, we should move to biofuels and renewable sources of energy. Biofuels can be extracted from algae. Algae could be 10 or even 100 times more productive than traditional bioenergy feedstocks. Renewable sources of power should come from fusion, fission, wind, hydroelectric, and solar power.

Almost all heat on planet comes from sun.
Place large quantities of vacuum expanding particulants to block a percentage of sun or solar sails.

Think hand in front of lightbulb.

Use Lagrange 1 for positioning and distance.

People wrote on this in 2001 and got a Nobel prize.

If worried about reversing or runaway cooling, do the inverse with mirrors to focus above 100% of Earth's normal light exposure.

Cost is about 2.4 trillion, but split amongst nation's it's not too bad.

Tldr; Noones really wanting to fix this without alterior motives.

There are many developed countries that do not have issues with combatting climate change. A good example of this is Denmark, with most Danish people riding bikes to work, or riding a public train. The easiest thing we can do is to stop the extreme exhaust of carbon gases, mainly caused by cars and their gas usage. Just getting an electric car isn't really going to help your carbon footprint, we actually need to stop using as much power as we do on a daily basis. Something simple such as Turing off the lights when you're not at home or in another room can greatly help reduce your carbon footprint. One aspect of power usage most people don't think of is the fact that most power plants output carbon dioxide, so simply riding a bike instead of a car isn't really going to help in the bigger picture. You might not think about it, but when you recycle you are actually also reducing carbon output, because in large incinerators where trash is normally thrown, there can be huge amounts of gases produced, some even toxic. While we may not be thinking about it now, small things like turning off lights, and recycling may actually help in the future to combat climate change.

this is why you're failing Biology, Jimmy. Come up with your own god damn ideas.

Climate change is the most pressing issue at the moment over the world. The cause of climate change can be divided into two categories those are due to natural causes and those are created by men. Global warming is the main natural reason and using harmful chemicals in everyday life the main reason created by man. The climate is changing rapidly that result in the rise of the earth’s average temperature. The global climate change and its consequences are leaving a bad impact on the developing countries to face natural calamities and poverty. Climate change impacts include temperature rise, greenhouse, and carbon dioxide gas emissions, erratic rainfall, salinity intrusion, the rise of floods, cyclones, storm surges and drought, ice sheets melting which will seriously affect the agriculture and livelihood, especially at the poor. Bangladesh, for its geographical locations, is likely to be the most affected. The developed nations, which are more responsible for such climate changes, should take responsibilities to protect the victimized countries. The Maldives is also one of the worst victims of climate change. A one-meter sea-level rise will submerge about one-third of the total area of Bangladesh, which will uproot 25-30 million people of Bangladesh. These people will become refugees of climate change. To reduce the bad impact of climate change people should be aware. Tree plantation can reduce global warming which is the main natural reason of climate change. Stop using harmful chemicals can reduce environmental pollution which is the main man-made reason of climate change. Students should be careful to protect the environment and raise awareness. Thus students can play a vital role to reduce bad impact of climate change.

>Stop burning coal
you try and convince the white woman that, they're the ones having all the mixed babies afterall

Nuke China. No amount of pollution control in the US will do a damn in the world if other countries aren't willing to play ball.

>uses only renewable energy
>90% of habitable cities are no longer functioning cities
>climate changes anyways because we still don't have the type of tech to control the sun nor our ecosystem/environment on such a grand scale
>even if we don't burn to death during one of the (very brief mind you) hot cycles
>we all freeze to death and civilization is sent back to the tribal age for another 10000 years (which is actually short in iceage terms btw) yet again
honestly humanity needs to burn as bright as possible and hope we can achieve/discover as much as possible while we can, waiting around stagnantly hoping we can outlive the world is retarded, nature always wins.

The worst offenders of pollution are cows, the methane from their flatulance is very damaging for the atmosphere. The reason such a large number of cows exist is that they are farmed for their meat and milk, a practice that must stop immediately. What needs to be done is the immediate cull of the majority of cows, keeping enough alive to keep them alive as a species but something that would see a dramatic reduction in methane polution. As a celebration, we could all have a massive BBQ and invite all our friends to have meaty fun.

If you think we can do something about a force of nature that has been changing for 4 billion years then you are truly as stupid as a fucking idiot liberal.

Holy shit

We shouldn't do anything to combat anthropogenic climate change on a global scale, because it's bullshit. There are real environmental concerns in the world, but anthropogenic climate change is not one of them. The average temperature has barely changed (less than a degree in 130 years), and there's no reason to believe that this minute change is a trend that will continue. Every generation has had doomsday theorists of some kind of another, and climate alarmists are our generation's doomsday theorists.

Controlling climate change realistically boils down to determining what anthropological actions have negative impacts on the climate and determining effective changes we can make to reduce them. Two of the largest anthropological sources of carbon emissions are from energy production and agriculture. By introducing incentives to energy and agricultural producers to reduce their carbon emission we can help reduce climate change to an extent. In addition, an increasingly globalized economy can help speed up the development of lesser developed countries that contribute disproportionately to the emission of more harmful greenhouse gasses like methane and Chlorofluorocarbons. In short, a combination of government action to incentivise clean energy and agriculture as well as economic and technological support for lesser developed countries will provide at least a start toward reducing human caused climate change.

You really shouldn't do anything about climate change, to be quite frank. Anything that you attempt to do will be undone by those around you who don't believe in climate change. The only way that you as a single person could make an impact would be to rally other like minded people together so that you could all reduce your carbon footprints at the same time. Even then, this wouldn't effectively bring about change on a massive global scale large enough to make a difference. Places like China still burn coal in open fields, that amount of smog pollution is nearly impossible to completely eradicate. Even if you had all the money in the world, and the smartest scientists building a device to filter air pollution, we still get extra-terrestrial factors like late-exploding asteroids causing air contaminates to float around, who knows what kind of problem they will cause for future generations.
the climate is going to change regardless of what we do to it.

You don't because it's a natural thing

Bump

Climate change is a bit difficult to combat due to how muc we pollute the climate today. However we can takes steps to combat climate change by decreasing our pollution output and adopting technologies that do more good than harm, instead of more harm than good. Technologies such as hydrogen power, solar and wind power, and the older but most important, recycling;by switching to these types of green energy along side the countless other types that are out there we can actually begin to cause a decline in how drastically our climate is changing today, and as for recycling, by reusing our products we can cut down on how much we take from the world. Recycling cardboard is only one instance of this, by doing this we could severely reduce how many trees we cut each year. Our planet is all we have, and if we keep moving at our current pace, we won't have it much longer. We must take these actions now, before it's too late.

There you go user, it's not perfect but it'll do. Send my 20 sheckles to a charity and post proof you did it with a timestamp. I don't need your pleb money., but others do.

I say we should clone ricegum, and send him there. My logic is that pussy can't rap, his shit "ain't fire" as they say, in fact, it's quite cold. To prove this, it is quite simple, in his diss track, he makes only playground insults, no real points. Whereas if you look at idubbbz, (dissee) he makes valid points, and really shows how awful he is.

>everyone writing paragraphs for the money
>no one putting their paypals along with it
how fucking retarded

This is a god tier response

Allow transport and container ships to use nuclear power.
Raise taxes on farm raised live stock, lower subsidies.
Eliminate fossil fuel subsidies entirely, add carbon tax.
Offer huge payday bounties to anyone that can design carbon scrubbing tech, efficient electric engines/lights/appliances, and batteries and renewable energy source that are an order of magnitude better than the current technology.

Your carbon footprint is the amount of carbon dioxide released into the air because of your own energy needs. You need transportation, electricity, food, clothing, and other goods. Your choices can make a difference. Swap old incandescent light bulbs for the new compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). They use only 25% as much electricity to give the same light. They last ten times longer. Turn off lights, TVs, computers, when you do not need them. Unplug! Any electronic gadget you can turn on with a remote (TV, DVD player, Nintendo, Xbox) uses power even when it is "off." Appliances with a digital clock (like a coffee maker) or a power adapter (like a laptop computer) also suck power like a sneaky vampire. Plug these kinds of things into a surge protector or power strip that has an on/off switch. Then you can shut off all the power without unplugging each gadget.

Most want it donated to charity, and besides this is probably some sixth grader with a paper due tomorrow who doesn't know the first thing about climate change so he's asking us to write him a one paragraph "essay" so he doesn't fail.

There is a much easier way to deal with climate change. Accept the change for starters. We as Humans are always advancing our technologies but have yet to be able to fully manipulate the climate in full control in such a way as to not bring harm to nature, but keep it from hurting us.
So, on that note, just accept it... kill the fucking Polar bears and make coats... Kill the seals and make suitcases,... kill the penguins and make fancy shoes... cause it's a changing, and there is Nothing we can do about it.

faggots

In order to combat climate change, we must first know what causes it. We know that anthropological climate change is objectively real, and solvable. The issue with this is that people like cheap energy, people like extracting resources, and there is a lot of money in the politics of climate change denial, so we need to find a way to reduce the amount of money in the politics of denial, keep energy cheap, and continue to extract resources in the same and ever-increasing quantities while also reducing our effect on the planet. We need to get big business out of the politics and throwing their monetary weight around in the STEM community. The first step is going to be to stop electing scientifically illiterate, elitist, big business supporters, and start electing hard working Americans who care about us and care about climate change, because climate change isn't just an issue of the planet, it's an issue of our way of life itself, in California acres upon acres of land has been swallowed by rising sea levels in recent years, the government is doing very little about it, and its our fault.

Air conditioners are been the best modern manner to cool a house and control it's temperatures to a reasonable humane atomospheric tempo. With the rate technology is advancing we could have nuclear giant air conditioners across the globe that work together in a synchronized plan to dominate the world's climate. They would also be placed the away from bigger cities so not to condense high tempo climates in one area. Where my 20?
