It is pretty much my generic opinion on everything. I think people should be able to do whatever they want and believe in whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. I know that Scientology doesn't fall into the "as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else" category so that complicates things.

which reminds me of a personal interaction, a weird one..
in the 2000's (2008? 2009?), they ran a series of commercials, with the tagline of "this is Scientology" or something like that, showing 'normal people doing normal stuff' (and not imprisoned inside hq doing 100 hour workweeks of menial tasks)
at the end of one of the commercials, they had this cute 20 something white girl with curly hair, and she could do this "thing"
she could stare at camera (or your eyes), and suddenly do a "burst" of brightness into your face (probably imprinting Xenu on your corneas or some shit). It was fucking real!

this chick interned at Fox studios at century city, and i was a coder, and walked into Yakatomi towers (fox bldg), and she was visiting some archive dept.. she was in office of work friend, i said "Hi". and then she did that flash RIGHT AT ME, sonufabitch, i instantly recognized her from tv commercial, and she slimed me, or whatever that xenu flash was.
still cool memory thinking of it...
