OP here, just recently got into a relationship with a pretty clingy girl. was just wondering what you guys thought was the appropriate amount to spend with her a week. Keep in mind we're both 25, and im someone who still wants to hang out with my friends a lot on the weekends since i dont get to see them during the week, and i have a large group of friends who i still regularly hang out with

Don't stop spending time with your friends just to be with the girl. Communication is key here, just talk to her about it and if it ends the relationship oh well you dodged a bullet

Thats the tough part here user, she says she doesn care but i know she does, she flips shit every time i go out. I just dont know how to make her understand that i spend all week with her, and she still wants me to come over every day, we even work together. I guess the point is im just not getting any alone time. I still keep up with my friends almost every weekend (not this one of course) but it seems like she still wants to cut into my other time

Sorry fag but this might hurt, there is no such thing as a red flag in the normal sense with women. This is because women are taught young to manipulate, they will present you with an idealised version of what you think you want. Once they have you the.pn they attempt to bend you into the type of person who lets them be who they really are. The scary thing is women with normal red flags such as being bitchy or moody or clingy are actually just being honest up front.

Don't focus on her, focus on you. Have limits, set them, stick to them. Because once you do, it has two effects, it weeds out problem cases, it attracts better partners that also have standards.

She was cheated on, in a pretty awful way. She actually lived with her ex-boyfriend too, which I think adds to her wanting to be with me all the time since she's used to it. Honestly I know im nowhere near ready to settle down

Yer I see that all the time , the wife thinks most of my friends girls are dicks , but the trouble usually is simmering in their relationship an just comes out when the drink starts an the lads start taking the piss out of the Wife . Honestly really depends on what you want your life to be. Once a week is good for me. I am mostly a hermit, but like to party and hang with my buds on the weekends.

At the end of the day I am a real puss and bleeding heart romantic and always end up over committing to girls and relationships that I really don't really want to be that serious. I find once a week a good way to keep myself from emotionally committing in a way I will later regret.
