other than final fantasy x when i was a lil kid for 600ish hours, ive been playing the now dying monster hunter 4 ultimate for over 250 hours now...

its a shame that game is dying, what with the 2 touch screen, HUD free handheld open world face tracking 3-d experience similar to world of warcraft and all... seriously that game was the only reason to buy a 3ds but was well worth it..

Has to be World of Warcraft. Played for years on private servers up until the release of WotLK and the first year of wrath I had 125 days logged on time on my death knight alone. Had multiple other alts. After that I played quite a lot in both cataclysm and pandaria. I really dont want the actual number of the amount of time I played that game

I had bots running 24/7 for 3 years... probably played 50 hours a week for 3 years... wouldn't be surprised if I had 8,000 hours on it... I was king of that fucking game

My best guess would be 2500 hours playing Harvest Moon Back to Nature over the years. Several hundred more hours playing Harvest Moon 64. Probably 1000 hours playing the others and Stardew Valley. It's just so comfy.

I'll go by some of the games I know I spent a lot of time on.

CoD4 - Over 30 days multiplayer time, played the campaign as well of course to a much lesser extent

Halo 3 - Think I logged 15 days total on this or somewhere in that ballpark. Played single player a few times at least. Wish I played this more than I played CoD4 in retrospect.

Gears of War games - Lots of time across 1-3. Couldn't give a concrete answer here. Less than CoD4 time across all games I'd imagine.

Dark/Demon's Souls - Probably close to around the time I played CoD4 in total. Dark and Demon's are my favorite games of 7th gen.

Pokemon Red - Did countless playthroughs but probably also less than I played CoD4 in total. If I had to guess it would probably be slightly less than the amount I played Souls games maybe? I couldn't say for sure.

Blops - I think 20 days mp on this.

I can't really give a concrete amount of time on anything but CoD4 really. I don't have Steam and I never really gamed a lot on PC until later on. Mostly through emulators however. Hope you guys don't get upset at my pleb taste in multiplayer games.

Nearly 2500 hours on Medieval 2. It's strange. It's plagued with bugs, doesn't have much of the great features in later TW titles, and yet I keep coming back. It's probably the sheer amount of quality mods, plus the same old satisfaction of tending to your empire and watching its might grow.

I simply lost the passion for the game, one day I asked myself why I enter ?.
I log and left the character quiet because there was nothing to do, all my contacts stopped playing long ago and I did not even want to play anymore.
How do I stop? it does not cost anything to leave it, after playing and playing without for for years, to play to satiety, comes one day when you get tired and with the passage of the days you uninstall it, you stop watching the game news and you leave behind a period of your life (I remember when I was 11 and nothing more to get up first thing I did was to play wow, when I came back from school to play wow, before sleeping to play wow, it was nice while xD happened)
One day I try to recover the essence of wow, but when I prove it impossible ( I delete the game in half an hour), those things only happen once in life as the first kiss xd WoW is dead for me.


I recommend playing and playing until you get tired, is the least painful way to leave a game.

Started with Starcraft's release back in 97 or 98' I'm quite sure I invested minimum 6 hrs a day from then on up until the release of Diablo 2 in which I invested time between the two until bots. I played Starcraft professionally for 5 years consistently some days I'd spend 15+ hrs in a single session of constant 1v1/2v2.
I couldn't tell you every game i played since probably 06, but I can say that when League of Legends cancer came out, I hopped into the alpha testing, then into the beta and then remember quitting a job to play more and more and make money while doing so. I was lvling accounts and selling them making beyond ridiculous amounts of money on the incapable masses. Overall I have about 40,000 hours total invested into gaming and that's not an exaggeration but a true realization. Gaming is my life, gaming shall remain in my life forever. I still game with some of the people I met in 1999/2000 on vanilla/broodwar. I still game with people I met in Medal of Honor Allied Assault. lol

1k on TF2 if you count when I played on brothers account.
About 1500 on GTA IV.
2500 roughly (stat reset) on Halo 3
1500 on Halo Reach

I got really good at Cod4 love that game and only that one of the series. At one point I was top 20 in the training mission time trial and top 10 in mile high club. I also played a bunch of halo 3 and the gears games so I don't think your choice of games is bad. However I was like you, mostly played on consoles until a few years ago.

Those were the Xfire recorded hours which were a lot more accurate than in game recorders.

I continued playing World of Warcraft like a fucking meth addict until 2014 when I found a serious girlfriend and quit cold turkey. There's a thread or two on a forum I used to be a moderater on asking where I went, then someone posted screenshots from Xfire, and that was about the end of my moderator life lol.

For me it was Day of Defeat Source. Around 1k hours. I don't play that much games.

I also got over 10 days on KZ 2 and 3 that I forgot to mention. Shame I didn't get into PC gaming earlier so I could enjoy its great shooters and maybe even some RTS. There is so much damn games to play though its hard to really choose for myself these days. I usually stick to retro games now.

From the day Tekken 3 came out to well into Tekken 6's lifespan I played at least one fight every single day, usually Hwoarang. I still play periodically (just picked up Tekken 3d for the 3ds xl) but it's not an everyday thing anymore.
