Why does Trent always preface with
>this is going to be some new crazy inaccessible stuff, we are really doing something different
and then its what everyone expected? NTAE was ok, but there was nothing new or inaccessible about it. Add Violence was so boring. Ive listened to it 3 times and i have no desire to go back to it. Why does he play it so safe?
This EP was the most boring NIN release ever
he literally only said that for NTAE before this.
He's doing trial and error for this trio of releases. Settle down
>trial and error
I would expect something new from "Trial and Error" but hes playing it safe.
*blocks your path*
What do y'all expect for EP3?
>band
what
You dont honestly believe Trent did it all on his own do you? I mean even he claims that, but you dont really believe that right user?
Because he's teamed up permanently with atticuck ross, they just want to make ost soundscapes.
It's a band since NTAE
Are you one of those Fantano fags who needs his NIN lol loud and aggressive,
He's been teamed with Ross since With_Teeth.
I'm not a big NIN fan but that's the only album I have enjoyed.
That's his weakest release, kek
This Isn't The Place and The Background World are God tier.
The rest is excellent. Not Anymore is fun, Less Than is catchy as fuck, Lovers is absorbing.
9/10
My least favorite was With Teeth.
Far better than The Slip. The Line Begins To Blur,Beside You In Time, All The Love In The World, You Know What You Are?, Sunspots, Title track and Right Where It Belongs shit all over The Slip
Why. Are you surface level listening? Because that's going to be a problem with enjoying WT
surely he didnt do it on his own, but it really isn't a band, it's more like Reznor and additional musicians
...
Still is literally one of the best things NIN ever released, I'd be so stoked for Trent to return to that twisted acoustic/digital sound
yeh i dont get why no one praises it much, trent really is talented and his acoustic stuff is god tier imo
I loved it right off the bat. NTAE took some time to grow on me, but eventually it did. Hyped for the 3rd EP and if it's true that this is just an experiment leading up to an album then I think it could be one of Trent's best.
nin are to me like marilyn manson: aber 2000 they stopped releasing new records.
>Year Zero
>Ghosts
YZ lacks of energy and Ghosts is just an "hey, look what i've found in my old hard drives: money!"-release.
Maybe but they're "new"
Year Zero has shit ton of energy
>YZ lacks energy
No it doesn't
>the last song
>its literally Trent finding out about Alvin Lucier
Made me mad.
That said, anyone else thinks the 3 EPs will form a coherent album once they release? There seem to be overlapping lyrical and musical themes.
