Looks kinda like the rooms in the psych wards I've been in, except I don't think we were allowed chairs and we sure as fuck didn't have windows that large or with blinds. Bed frames go in corners.
Amber has some spooky haunted moments.
...
Anyone got any spooky as fuck stories being read by spoopy voice with spoopy music?
...
Is it better or worse then prison?
you fucking plebs
fuckin plebs all of you

real music right here
worse.
In prison you're generally left to your own by the guards and only have to deal with other inmates, which isn't bad unless you were sent up for child molestation or some kind of harm/abuse of the "defenseless" (which usually means women, children, or the elderly). Or if you show up trying to be cock of the walk. Or if any kind of gang affiliation you may have goes south. Outside of that you keep your head down and your nose clean and it's not the worst thing in the world.
But psych wards are the worst. If you're a potential danger to anyone else you're either sedated to the point of complete loss of function/awareness, or if the meds don't work you're restrained any time you have to leave your room and won't be released until it's time to bring you back to your room.
If you're just a danger to yourself, you're watched like a hawk, treated like an infant (can't handle anything even remotely sharp, can't have anything small enough to swallow, aren't allowed any belts, shoelaces, or any loose clothing), not allowed any kind of medication unless it's absolutely vital (like if you need insulin or something), which is only administered by doctors, and any potential "help" they provide is essentially two or three psychiatrists on staff tending up to hundreds of people, trying to fit as many as they can into visits where they do literally nothing but read your chart/file and decide if they need to up the dose or change the meds you're prescribed (if you even have any)
I was put into a psych ward on a 5150 (cops found me in what they thought was a suicide attempt after i seized from xanax withdrawls and shattered a mirror in my dorm bathroom). Doctors convinced me to stay longer than the mandatory 72 hours to help me work on my mental health issues. After two weeks of what i described above i checked myself out because there was literally no help. It was basically just a containment.
This, even the worst track on here contributes something.
Top notch shit desu. Still not spooky though.
how much of a simp do you have to be to be spooked by music?
I dont get it either, white noise of whispering for 4 hours I understand, but not music
Speaking of anybody tried sensory depravation lately? Last time I did I started feeling spiders and could hear whispers.
I haven't been to prison, but it's almost certainly better, or at least the child psych wards are.
>you get to draw, watch VHS tapes, listen to music, play in the gym, have snacks like Rice Krispie treats (except you can never really decide when you do these things, and you end up seeing and hearing the same shit through-out the week; I recall that we didn't even get to decide what game we played in gym at one hospital, but the first just let us loose)
>showers are probably cleaner and only a few people are allowed in at a time
>nurses are fairly friendly and sympathetic, not aloof and militant like I imagine prison guards are
>staff is actually trying to help you, even if you think their methods are really fucking silly (seems like American prison is high on punishment and low on rehabilitation)
>no one's going to seriously hurt you; they may shove you around and start drama, but no one's going to kill you because they're bored and already have a life sentence or something)
>patients aren't generally there because they're anti-social but because they're depressed, or anxious, or hallucinate... basically things that only really hurt themselves
>there are little kids there, which is sad in a way, but the few moments you get to spend with them can be some reprieve because they like to show you the art they made and things like that
One notable con is I think nurses probably rape patients more often than guards rape prisoners, but I don't have any sources to back this up. This is just my impression from having a parent work at one of these facilities and coincidentally also being admitted twice.
I don't know anything about boys' or mixed gender adult hospitals. They might not be as lax. Also note that I was cherished by staff and patients. I never talked to anyone unless they talked to me, but was always polite when they did, and was also quite skinny in a way that I think elicited protectiveness in the other kids.
It's not pleasant, but it's tolerable.
Goddamn. I mean that I think psych hospitals are probably better. They're sometimes tortuously dull, however. Both times I spent my days waiting to be released. I was a minor, so it wasn't my decision. I felt like a captive; extremely helpless. Leaving was constantly on my mind, waiting even for the words "You get discharged tomorrow".
Higher up staff is also condescending as fuck at least 7 times out of 10. The nurses were more humble and apt to genuinely listen.
>he thinks shitty classical music is scary
pleb
no music is scary desu, its a single sense.
...
This for sure
only nu-males are fucking frightened by sounds
Honestly I'm glad he's having fun and spending time with his friends, but I really want more volumes of this.

Some parts of this are some of the most blissful tracks ever recorded, it's silly to say this is just a spooky album.
Nature Unveiled is way scarier than these.

Not lately but last time i did this was years ago when dropping adderall, I was pretty retarded when it came to dosage.

>there was literally no help. It was basically just a containment.
Sadly I think that's the point.

IIRC its actually from the room Travis went too when he was being evaluated
Also fantastic album. Though pic related also weeping worm or his across stuff is amazing
Trav can do no wrong
let's hear it for Frankie
Fuck you dude. I had finally forgotten this.
I always found this album to be pretty spooky
maybe cheating, but the soundtrack to this film. there are a few versions, and the tracks with the extremely high pitched strings always creeped me out
also dat bass in the main theme
dun
dun dun
dun dun
dun dun
dun dun...
listening now. damn. it is pretty spooky
The beast depicted on the cover is the demiurge, the mother of the material world which distracts us with hallucinatory visions and elusive sensations to keep us asleep to divinity. Beware
>this entire album
>*revolving groans*
>"Frankie's lying in hell"
This has to always come out on top of the rest of these albums because it was light years ahead of them.
...
Any Jandek cover
What's this?
reminds me of this, but longer and with less repetition in the words:
...
these are ridiculously soothing what the hell
11 mins in...
i'll get laughed off my arse but some of the tracks in this stray dangerously close to the auditory hallucinations i had during my alcoholic episodes so it always puts the shits up me jomble right and proper
