bump

22, break fix it / msp for residential and small businesses (less than 30 employees in our biggest), about 18-22k a year, paid differently for in house and remote work

Sure, I'd recommend it if you can talk to people and sell things and talk on the phone. You can learn alot, but it would be best if you had experience with fixing shit on computers, beyond just a pop up.

Retail is easy, managing firewalls and SMB networks is another beast but it's all able to be learned.

A job is a job, do what you can, just apply for shit and work, don't be late and do your duties

30, IT, 80K

elaborate

i've been considering programming but its pretty dull

is the money worth it?

21, sales guy at Best Buy. 10 bucks an hour. Pretty solid job, I'd say it's decent for someone new to the market. Personally I'd love something better for pay, but the actual job isn't bad.

28, Fix and Install Laser Cutters, 70k

23, Self Driving Car operator, 46k or 22/hr

I would absolutely recommend the job. Shit is lit.

I thought this was the dream. Sadly I was wrong never go NEET

>How old are you

>what's your job
NEET

>how much do you make?
0$

>would you recommend your job to someone who is going into the job life?
If you can get NEETbux and your only alternative are soul crushing, bottom of the barrel minimum wage job, yes. Otherwise, if you don't wanna slowly lose contact with reality and become an empty shell of a human being, absolutely not.

elaborate on your job please

what are the qualifications

> if you don't wanna slowly lose contact with reality and become an empty shell of a human being
Well shit

>automotive tech
>$10/hr 20.5k

I've been doing this for 2 years now, under the table as a minor for $7.50, and I gotta say it's horrible. I started community college to get an Associate's Degree in auto tech as a sophmore, because my tuition/lab was free. All I had to pay for was books. Sounds great, right? Hell naw. In 2 semesters I spent over $1,000 on textbooks, the most I've ever gotten back was $40 per. I started 2 years ago now and I'm still 1.5 years away from my 2 year degree because I've had to balance it between school and work.
Aside from all that, customers have gotten worse, bosses have gotten stiff, work environments have gotten more dangerous, and corporate has gotten stingey. Cars are becoming increasingly more complex, yet 30 years ago I'd be making almost 1.5x what I do now, for the same work.
Sup Forumsros, I know a lot of y'all love cars, but don't get into the industry, not unless you want to be corporate. They get fair pay, at least.
Plus, we work 6 day weeks, and usually have to work 60 hours a week (overtime can start anywhere between 40 and 80 hours) so you never get a social life.

>being a neet husband

How is that even possible?

>35, healthcare IT, 95k

24/speechwriter/event briefing for various political figures/ 80k

Only do this if you're into writing a ton and working with people you detest. I'm looking for an out. But the money is too good to leave.

Yeah, it's cool. Get to meet genuine celebrities. Fun workmates. Every day is different.

I got married a few years ago because I found a girl that actually cared about me. Lost my job and not really looking because fuck working. But being broke sucks

investigator? like a criminal investigator or do you do corporate investigations into which employees are doing the work and stuff

To put it simply, I "drive" the car around all day. Make voice notes about undesired behavior. Test out different software that improve the cars. I do some other stuff to, but that's the main of it.

Need to have a clean driving record, bachelors degree preferred but not required. Over 18, maybe 21 but don't remember. My degree wasn't even remotely related, but they train you on everything of course.

27
Pharmacist
~$120,000/year
Wouldn't recommend it. For the amount of student loan debt and bullshit I deal with, I should've just gone to fucking med school.

which company do you work for? google?

26 and this is how I went:

2 degrees
> 1st job: Programmer at a bank
> pay: 67k

Quit and went travelling for 6 months

>2nd job: Engineering (mining)
>Pay: 100k all inclusive

>3rd job: Started own business
>Pay: Fuck all but working on it

I almost went for pharmacy, then 3 was like fuck that noise and switched. The money would be nice though.

>25
>Just got fired
>$0.00

Fuck me, I literally just got fired 6 hours ago and I fucking hate everything

Yes. Well it's now Waymo as it has branched into its own company, but yes, it is Google.

why were you let go

I am 41, I am in inside sales, and I make between 140,000-180,000 a year.
I have been with the same company for 12 years. I learned the products, built a very good reputation as reliable and reputable with major customers, and just slowly established myself in management. Then when the opportunity arose, I went into sales.
I work from home, and 99% of my job can be handled with emails.
It’s an amazing life.

Go into technical writing - work for information companies that specialize in auto repair.

I make beer tanks. It's a dirty job and my life outside of work could be comfier, wouldn't recommend it. I think I'm going to go become a teacher though so that probably won't pay too much better.

I work from home too, and get paid quite well.

The only downside is that there are some weeks that I don't see or anyone besides my wife and kids. I drink too much every night because all I have to do is roll out of bed and sit my ass down at my computer.

41, database admin, $95k/yr

if you can deal with idiots who think they are smart(developers and project managers), go for it.

It's not that I'm smarter than them, I just don't presume to know about their biz than they do

I've done a little criminal before, as of now mostly premises.

spending like a stripper does that

meant for you

What bank and where?

How does one get that job? Is it as simple as getting the right degree and applying? can you learn the job from home and get hired?

27
No job

Kids don't goof off. Find out what you like and work on that. I am living NEET lifestyle except I have an education. Plus, think about your major.

Gonna an hero in a few months

29
UPS Driver

If you can stay around as a grunt loading/unloading trucks long enough it's a pretty decent job with amazing benefits.

24, Cost Engineer, 70k/yr

Your either busy as fuck on a short deadline or have absolutely nothing to do but watch youtube and browse the web. All in all its not bad, its stable at least.

Fun fact I once got paid for 2 months in a row to do nothing for the company. That said I've also had 4 months of work that needed to be done in 2 months, so the fact we get OT on salary is nice.

>fuck working. But being broke sucks

That's definitely not a bad pay for that. Plus benefits.

The job life? Be cool. Stay in school.

Yeah. The drinking can be a problem. I take naltrexone to reduce my cravings for food and beer and the shit works great. Otherwise, i’d drink a 12 pack every day and be fat as fuck.

I feel like a failure

good news ups is hiring driver helpers. Literally just walk to a house and back like your'e gonna shit your pants if you don't make it in time. Easy $15/hour ever

Having the PharmD and being called "doc" and getting paid more in a day than my techs do in a week is kinda cool. That's about where it stops. I also quit smoking weed out of fear of drug tests and I miss that shit.

>escort vehicle driver

Pay is complicated but I don't make much. It's fun sometimes but I only work for one driver so I don't work enough.

Read my post - ingratiate yourself, never give up, master the products, take chances, be professional. The best jobs always go to internal employees if a qualified person exists.
Never be afraid to work for a scary corporation either. Being idealistic guarantees poverty 99% of the time.

32 /retired /worth $3.28 million USD

Typo, 3 years in i said fuck it. But sometimes I wish I stayed. That money is nice. Buuuut I also like smoking weed and I'm making more than enough to keep me happy. So fuck it.

Yeah but the problem is you have to have gone to college or they won't even look at you

Actually I was refered to them earlier. Since this is twice I guess its a sign for me to do it.

I am 25 years old. I work as an ESL teacher in a south american country. I make around 450 dollars per month. It's not like I wouldn't recommend this job to someone else, but payment in shit world country is horrible. I would recommend something along the lines of freelance writing or programming. You can make way more money and have enough freedom to enjoy doing other things.

You’re gonna be unretired in 5 years bro.

Not if I becoma a trophy husband

proof or get out

I've thought about it - even had a couple higher ups ask me about it because they think I have the smarts - but when I was young, I made myself a promise: I'll never work a desk job as long as I'm physically able to perform manual labor. I can't sit at a desk for very long, I start figiting, even whole-body shaking at times.
Plus, if I don't wear myself out to the point of exhaustion every day, I can't sleep at night. Ever since puberty I've had to do extra PE (in highschool I always had a study hall or free period, I'd just go to the gym and do PE with whoever had it that semester) or go to the gym.

I am a chef at Wendys too. $9.50. Get a raise!

Good luck with that Trevor

PS. Not an engineer by definition... not a registered one. No seal, no engineer. (4 year bachelor + 4 years work experience before it can be considered, then you need an ethics test)
t. P.Eng

They have meds for that.

college is useless, successful people become successful in spite an education.

True, but the average college/trades person makes more than the people who dont take further education.

no most of my liquidity is in the markets, I live off the dividends for the most part. I also live fairly cheap. Ive never been the guy who needed the newest shit. I have my intrigues which are relatively inexpensive.

25, Robotics Software Engineer, 107k

True, but is that because college students are intrinsically driven to succeed regardless of a degree? Who can say, but i know some pretty successful people who got where they are without a degree under their belt.

33, IT, $85k + quarterly bonuses

If it interests you, even vaguely, get on it ASAP.
Demand for those with IT skills in bigger cities is very high, so the pay, benefits, and work atmosphere are fucking awesome.
I've been in IT for 5 years now, and my only regret is not starting my career sooner.

32, personal protection (bodyguard), 110-120k

sure, and Im sure to some the degree helps increase drive up their competitive value in the job markets to an extent. But I think that is changing dramatically. In 10 years most people will be either very wealthy or poor as fuck regardless of education.

Smart man. People run to pills for solutions for anything nowadays, and there's an epidemic of opiate/stimulate addicts due to pharmaceutical companies selling legal pills to people.

If you're depressed, take anti-depressants for sure, but unless your life is miserable, you're fine and don't need pills. Don't listen to morons who are addicted to adderall, xanax etc. telling you it's fine.

11? Really nigga?
