>B-BUT IT'S JUST VINEGAR!
That's right, faggots. That's what makes it so good. Pic related with some buttery popcorn is GOAT.
i make my own hot sauce.
>ground some árbol dried chile in a stone mortar
>add the ground pepper in a airtight jar
>mix in some water, salt and vinegar (to your taste)
>let it steep for a few weeks
>enjoy that burning, tasty sensation on anything
Louisiana. Tobasco is for fags.
That sounds really comfy. Maybe one day I'll try that.
Back when I had the tastebuds of a rolly polly pic related was the most I could ever take
No idea what the fuck happened but one day when I was 19 something just clicked and I've practically drank hot sauce since
different sauces for different foods mang.
Too hot. Overpowers the flavor and burns long after. Overstays its welcome. I like the green Tabasco though a lot.
Same goes for you.
Tried it once, didn't like it. Was too sweet and too hot.
The answer is obviously Red Hot. I don't know why it's considered unkewl or whatever it is. I don't want to require a glass of milk and breathing room between bites when I eat hot sauce. I'm trying to ENHANCE the food, not overpower it.
>cholula was too hot
wew lad
I don't remember vividly how hot Cholula is, but I'm almost certain that it's not as hot as Red Hot.
You know what, I was iffy on that statement. Like I said I only tried it once. I remember it was really sweet. Qdoba has that and the green Tabasco, which is how I fell in love with the green stuff.
I have both in my house, can confirm red hot is spicier
I always have at least tabasco, cholula, red hot, tapatio and valentina, and use each of them regularly
I tried it once, found it too vinegary.
>this guy
Blair's 2am reserve.
Louisiana or crystal
I think it all depends on what you're putting it on. For pizza and sandwiches it's absolutely amazing ime
I can't help but to wonder what the photographers told that guy to do
"Hold this pepper and look /really/ taken aback by its spiciness"
What the FUCK is that shit
fucking kek. thanks for the laughs.
t. white dude who hates that shit
Yeah I really like the Habanero Tabasco , I tried some of those super hot ghost pepper sauce but since they're basically just suspensions of raw chili they have this gross fruity flavour.
Pic related or chipotle Tabasco
This right here is my fuckin jam. Got a bottle on my desk at work, one 8n the fridge and one on my desk at home too.
...
that stuff's a close second for me honestly
spiciest stuff you guys have ever had?
I got some hot sauce that was basically just a mix of all the hottest chilis, but it wasn't fermented so the raw chilis had this fruity flavour that was kind of nauseating.
Blair's sauces are fucking retarded. They have so much capsaicin in them that you have to handle them with gloves.
Their whole marketing strategy is like "LOL IT'S SO HOT IT'S GONNA KILL YOU XD XD".
There's one that's literally called Blair's Death Sauce.
wimps.... 2000000 + Scoville, and it tastes pretty good
It'll kill me, huh?
I'll take a gallon
Ají amarillo

blairs death sauce is really good. original and jalapeno are great. only a few are stupidly hot, you can tell bc they have a warning on the back
these are both awful. chipotle tabasco is too smoky and gross, louisiana is way too salty.
my go to recently has been dave's temporary insanity, goes a treat on sandwiches
...
>chipotle tabasco is too smoky
That's exactly what I like about it, though..
In the UK you get a little tub of Frank's Red Hot with the chicken bits. I quite like it. Has a nice strong burn without being silly.
Since this might be the right place to ask, what sauce do they use in KFC's flamin' wraps?
I assume it's their own thing but are there any approximations?
You know what I'm bare craving rn mate
Moved to the US a couple months ago and I would kill for some Nando's peri-peri
That's definitely me
Don't fault the guy for experimenting--really most hot sauces are disappointments. Too much vinegar for most. Vinegar water. And salt. Lots of motherfucking salt for some reason. Then entirely too much garlic on the other end. Or burn your skull ghost pepper shit. Or BBQ wings then heat.
So you take what you like--me personally the thickness of Sriracha--MINUS the garlic. That consistency. Start with Sambal in a processor. Dump raw, chopped habaneros in. Add powdered cayenne and, oddly enough some hot Ortega taco sauce in. For me--FINALLY a huge batch of "fuck you up" sauce without the salt, vinegar, garlic, or most importantly--the price point. That tiny bottle is what? FUCK OUTTA HERE....
