will schweini make chicago great again?

Chicago was actually quite good at the CM position before Basti came, so it's a puzzling move. I think the biggest benefit is that he'll sell tickets and shirts and make the team temporarily relevant in a crowded sports market

nah did u see the questions chicago sports writers asked him today?

it was like "do you hope this move will help you play for germany again" "can you win the world cup with the fire?"

Depends. The big concern is that he spent his career at Bayern, and its usually the one club guys that struggle the most in MLS. He's also gonna have the league's bruisers going for his ankles, so gonna be hard to stay healthy.

>small pop

>Chelsea hat

jesus fucking christ

fugg it all

Chicago has no good CM. At least with Schweini he might be able to do something.

Replace Cincy with Sacramento

>It Already Happened
>It Happened Already

MLS already said they won't put two teams in California during this wave of expansion.

Now that San Diego got their shit together and have Donovan backing the project, I don't see how Sac gets a team over San Diego. Especially with the Chargers gone.

Can Minnesota be relegated for the season and just appear again when LAFC enters MLS?

>won't put two teamas in Cali
>literally Galaxy and LAFC

Who taught you math

>"during this wave of expansion."

who taught you how to read?

STL is one of the next two or not at all, the city vote is in less than a week

that's the spirit

...

germane jones

Juninho and McCarty are unironically one of the best central midfield pairings in the league

did someone say

>Soon?

>streaming

Is Alex /our gal/?

Nope.

>claims MLS won't put two teams in during this wave of expansion
>this wave is already adding LAFC

So zero additional teams, then? Sayonara, Sacramento.

oh c o w t o w n.

gonna get leapfrogged by SoccerCity SD

>St Louis Soccer

They will literally play in a stadium larger than where the Rams play.

>2017

Lit, senpai

Lol

>trips out loud

reminder to support local sawker.
also the villages sc to win it all and get promoted next season.

stray reply, but watch nwsl just as well.

Can schweini make an impact for Chicongo?

Is Villages having another go? Did they register all their players this time?

>>mfw time for Open Cup

Is this like the FA cup with all your lower league teams in?

Basically yes

Wish the Canadian Championship would take the semipro teams too

Yes, until someone's shitty turf field makes an impact on his ankles

No
No matter how good he plays, his acquisition doesn't solve any of their problems

>I've always thought sucking dick should be a positive. We should reclaim that phrase. Like , "Hey! Cleveland sucks dick! That's awesome! They sometimes even swallow!"

>USL will launch second league in 2019 to occupy U.S. Soccer's Division 3

Interesting

pro/rel confirmed

someone that used to be respected like tannenwald now unironically posts updates from women UCL matches

MLS is the only league wher emost of the news doesnt come from actual media (Cause in reality no one cares, even a little bit, about MLS news except like 10 guys on twitter) but from some kind of state-sponsored north korea-like dictatorship news service which tries to tear down players they dont like

Tannenwald has some crazy autism

>2098

>SpaceX Mars SC wins the Galactic Cup for the third time

>GayceX wins again
>against hyper-modern football
>being owned by Elon Musk's brainstem housed in vault under layers of purged Sino-Trump soldiers

fits the communistic setup mlels has.

and i like waifuball for the waifus

...

>spacex will never be galaxy kit sponsor

...

wew

...

>everyone back but Lletget
Just give >us the cup now

>Onalfo still coach

You wont even make the playoffs

Is your physical form braced for tomorrow, lads?

BRING IT

gotta do muh fantasy, but ready for more gaems

wow, actual friday games, i love it

>if only the OP had mentioned those

OH WAIT

how hard is Atlanta gonna get rekt tomorrow?

Like 5-1

That game could go either way.
How is Atlanta going to do on the road against a real team? Are Seattle really back from their post cup hangover?

isn't this manneh character being poised for a ninja turtles spot?

SO HARD

when does atlanta play? only team worth watching

>le run fast and beat the red bulls man

I like it. >we need a token black super athlete who attempts to play soccer now that Kei is gone.

tomorrow at 7 local time

atlanta fans confirmed as the seattle fans of the east?

Kekuta Meme a shit

Will Bradley and/or Altidore play tomorrow?

>ninja turtle candidates
>good

The best players in MLS 2017 are TAM and GAM

>Gaminho
Overated as fuck

>caps trade memekutah
Im kinda butthurt cause he showed amazing skills in some games and then in other it looked like he wasnt even trying. I guess its good to set the standard and make it clear that shit effort will not be tolerated. >we needed a midfielder anyway.

Cheer up leaf, we're all going to make it.

>atlanta coming to town tomorrow
kinda nervous 2bh guys
although seattle humbling atlanta would just be a great time

>>STL MLS investors possibly also bringing a waifu soccer team by 2020

When will owners realize that throwing a NWSL team into the mix doesn't really matter to the majority of fans?

desu i think theyre banking on womens soccer becoming bigger in the future, in the same way as with MLS you want to invest early at minimal cost and then sell for major profit later

>womens soccer becoming bigger in the future
The WNBA hasn't really gotten any bigger since its inception. I don't know where anyone's getting this idea that woso is going to become a big thing. There have been what, 3 different woso leagues that started and folded within the past 5 years?

We had a women's team here before, but it folded because of crummy ownership....the attached men's team AC St Louis did not last much longer

NWSL is now starting up their 5th season of play, which is longer than either of their two predecessors managed
It may not grow to any grandiose heights, but I don't think it's going anywhere
And the days of being embarrassingly named/sponsored like that stupid MagicJack team are over

Are >we comfy?

>tfw work isp is blocked by Sup Forums

if anyone is craving comfy american soccer right now, OCB vs Louisville is on right now.
youtube.com/watch?v=zBTVqCQfP2s

>playing B team games in a huge stadium

Is it worth the expense? I think NWSL salaries are partially subsidized by USSF but there's no TV money, no merch sales to speak of, and low attendance.

Salaries for NT players are paid by the USSF
They're at least trying on the TV money front, weekly games on the (sigh) Lifetime Channel

>>As of 2016, teams receive a salary cap of $278,000, up from $265,000 in 2015 and $200,000 in 2013. The salaries of allocated players from the United States, Canadian, and Mexican national teams are paid by their respective federations and do not count against the salary cap. Non-allocated players earn a minimum of $7,200 and a maximum of $39,700, up from $6,842 and $37,800 in 2015 and $6,000 and $30,000 in 2013.
>>a minimum of $7,200
>>$7,200

sweet fucking yeezus

it'll be comfier when the meme matches start again

>go to college on a soccer scholarship
>get drafted by a NWSL team
>earn less than the federal minimum wage
How do these people survive?

>tfw no local NWSL team to watch and maybe get a qt U-23's number

>you will never be an NWSL qt's sugar daddy

They probably have second jobs for when they don't have practice or games. A lot of players in meme pro leagues like NLL have secondary jobs too

>Crew traded for Kek Man
Wait what

What happens to the Rams' old stadium now, anyway? The STL expansion guys would suddenly have a case if they were able to rent the thing or just squat there

>Sounders linked to Paraguay international Derlis Gonzalez

A) The field is not big enough for a regulation soccer pitch; they did hold a friendly match between Real Madrid and Inter Milan once, but that was just a friendly
B) It's a dome, so obviously the surface is turf, and that goes over so well with everyone
C) The necessary modifications to change/fix the above would cost at LEAST as much as a new SSS anyhow
D) Dome has 60K+ seats, will look/feel/sound empty even if half-full
E) With the Rams gone, the Dome is now free to host all sorts of other events for the fall/winter, which is projected to make it MORE profitable than when it was hosting football games
