i disagree partly with what your saying, but I do agree that black metal has this almost extra level of abrasiveness to it, almost as if it was audio barbed wire. Its genuinely hard to listen to because it sounds like this very scratchy unappealing mix of static to me. While doom heavily uses static and fuzz its used in a more prolonged, almost hypnotic way that lets me drift while listening. Its why bands like spaceslug and forming the void quickly became my favorites, speaking of spaceslug, this album is god tier amongst god tier
