i agree, but the songs are all wayyyyyyy too long. if st.anger had been a lean-and-mean 35 minutes (which is less than half the length of the actual record) with 2-3 minute discharge throwback track lengths it would be remembered as one of metallica's absolute best

Wanna know why this album sucked? It had no depth. Metallica have never been deep but at least Master of Puppets had some political commentary. St Anger was just "Rawr we're angry look at how angry we are" to appeal to what they realised were their primary demographic: 13-14 year old boys.
