Apparently there was some kind of massive ISIS attack on a Russian naval base?
Jaxson Martinez
Any happenings
Josiah Walker
Naval? There was one attack on an airstrip near Palmyra.
Liam White
Some SDF gains north of Raqqa, town Fatisah
Clashes at al-Hishah..which is great but they already captured it last week and lost it again.. is this the new pingpong battle?
Andrew Harris
I'm just catching up on it now. The blog I saw it on mentioned Russian Marines so I guess I assumed Navy.
Evan King
why is the news only reporting it now? we already talked about it here over a week ago at the time when ISIS had a little offensive north of Palmyra
Leo Adams
Did the Raqqa offensive start for real? Kurdish sources are abuzz with news of this. I doubt they can blitz it, and ISIS ain't weak enough to lose Raqqa imo. Unless the U.S. is going to level the city. Even then, the question remains, what use is this for kurds? Raqqa is a sunni arab city, it will be handed to other factions within the SDF like jaysh al thuwar. Then again, if SDF gets Raqqa, they would be impossible to ignore within the diplomatic arena, despite T*rkey's best efforts
Some pro-YPG guy on twitter was saying the offensive includes 14,000 troops, 30 tanks, and 50 armored vehicles. (none of this confirmed)
Maybe Murica+Israel+Kurds want to create a FSA-aligned puppet ministate in Raqqa area to give the opposition more legitimacy, leverage and territory?
We'll see I guess
Ryan Turner
They can't just, like, report that ISIS is bombing Russian choppers now. Putin would be assmad. A week to greenlit this sounds reasonable.
Jacob Evans
Fuark, apparently IS stormed and captured Tal-Sawanah, north of Al Mahr field. Heres a map last week where you can see its location.
I hope SAA/Desert Hawks/NDF still have some forces near al Mahr from the recapture last week, it would be retarded if Mahr fields would become disputed again
Oliver Bell
Note of course that this map is not accurate anymore, SAA has more lands west of al Mahr fields now and a bigger part of Shaer
Leo Peterson
>four Russian attack helicopters and 20 trucks loaded with ammunition were destroyed in the attack
420 blaze it
Adam Wood
Pretty sure it's the fire from last week that people reported and /sg/ thought it was BS.
David Reed
Yeah, the primary problem with the FSA project has always been jihadi elements and Nusra itself being indispensable to the success of the "revolution", rendering the rebels less presentable, to say the least. Considering that, what you said makes sense. Presumably the U.S. goal then is to try and beef up demonstrably secular rebel forces (New Syrian Army, SDF) so that they become the primary power brokers of the opposition instead of being dependent on Al Qaeda like the FSA currently is. Assad's job may be far from over.
Aaron King
Curiously even Amaq reported initially that it was a "fire"?
If ISIS had been able to destroy those helicopters they surely wouldve said so.
>16 May >That a pilot from St Petersburg 'confirmed' that some Ka-52s burned down in Syria, pilots are alive. Says that pictures will possibly come later. archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/74178563/#74183888 >24 May Suddenly western media catch on.
well it wasnt a RuAF airbase. it was primarily a Syrian airbase where the Russians just happened to have some assets.
Jordan Richardson
Don't the west win the war is the sdf/kurds take raqqa in syria and ramadi/mosul in iraq? It's the western front all over again?
Bentley Long
Im not entirely sure what you mean
bump
Kevin Hall
Right, but I assume that they have more strict security measures in a base equipped with Russian equipment. honestly I'd expect any ISIS groups that would patrol the area in that 10 km radius to be annihilated quite fast.
Jonathan Morris
al Masdar reports gains east of Palmyra
Tiger Forces, NDF, Liwa Imam al-'Ali with some help from Russian Marines advanced upto but not including the T3 pumping station
Hudson Lewis
well since even Amaq initially reported a fire caused the damages and no claims of (direct) ISIS hits, its hard to say what happened exactly atm
But I see your point
Brody Allen
Basically russia did all the heavy lift with the air campaign and now token troops are storming/siegeing meme cities of an enemy on the run like the race to berlin.
Liam Ramirez
US killing innocent civilians and no one will say anything about it like the hospital in afghanistan. They have already killed thousands of children. Obongo Nobel Peace Prize 2016
Leo Cruz
FUUUUCK I HATE KURDS FUCK THEM FUCK THEM PRENTENTIOUS SOCIALIST FUCKS THEY WOULD BE NOTHING WITHOUT ASSAD AND RUSSIA

Daniel Morris

US is a peaceful nation, they've a nobel peace prize winner for a president.
Cameron Campbell
To be honest kurds are worse than turks.
Nathan Adams
We love you Assad senpai
Samuel Cook
daily reminder that kurdish factions are all soviet-tier communist faggots(except for the peshmerga) and they are playing the 'democratic socialist federalism' thing to look good in american newspapers
Gavin Ward
From what I've learned from youtube they're more antifa tier than soviet.
Dylan Hughes
FALLUJAH A L L U J A H
Landon Lewis
That's much worse
I thought that all Kurdish units were 'Peshmerga'?
Wyatt Green
>why is the news only reporting it now?
Because the Russian military isn't going to immediately announce to the world that they just suffered a loss.
Oliver Moore
...
Josiah Gray
This is not news. idgf if you manage to wipe them all out, but also idgf if they manage to gain their own little commie state. I don't think we should be supporting them in any meaningful way though, and I hate that even our Defense Forces just released a paper on how successful they have been in training those commies (as a part of the western advisors in Syria). It's fucking ridiculous.
Christian Price
Hello losers, What's up?
Cameron Miller
I'm obviously not Turkish, but Sweden is infested with this human scum, being pretentious thinking that they alone are defeating ISIS when in reality they would be nothing without the support of Assad.
Also every single socialist cunt raise these people to the skies like if they were gods, they parade around with the YPG flag but if you even come close to them with a Swedish flag you are seen as a racist.
Gabriel Howard
well it wasnt the Russians who announced it now either.
Russia didnt "not immediately" announce anything or greenlit anything, the current western news articles are based on satellite imagery from Stratfor.
Joseph Lewis
idk, you tell us
Parker Gray
>anno domini 2016 >finland train literal islamic communists with american surplus weapons

Hallo Otto
Jayden Ramirez
>they would be nothing without the support of Assad without the support of the west*
Have anyone thought that If we were still in the cold war the US would be Supporting ISIS
Asher Rogers
race traitor/10
Landon Howard
on the internet they play is down-low as i had said. these groups started forming during the cold-war to provide the soviets with militia allies in the middle-east the picture i had posted is the co-leader of the kurdish party in turkey
i don't know about the words they use, but in turkey peshmerga is used for krg soldiers and guerrilla is used for pkk/ypg
Easton Price
this was for
Elijah Brooks
That's a pretty comfy pic

Why US and Shiites are kiling muslim ''in Fallujah operation'' ?

> I'd expect any ISIS groups that would patrol the area in that 10 km radius to be annihilated quite fast.
SAA and any Arab force is full of god damn idiots. I can't believe that these helicopters burnt down. This is just humiliating. That or if ISIS did attack who was incharge of guarding the place? I hope the Russians did not rely on the SAA to defend the site.

Wyatt Miller
kurds were also burning down shia turkmen houses earlier, you guys think that there will be another war in iraq after isis falls?
Kayden Jones
Death to ISIS. Crusades now.
Dominic Gray
>be sunni >brothers form various terrorist groups and begin calling for attacks all over the world >they set up shop in a few cities >even though not terrorists, they remain in said cities and legitimize terrorist "government" and enable them >WHY ARMIES ATTACKING ME :DD >IS BECAUSE IM MUSLOM
Isaiah Wright
There isn't anymore iraq. It's iranian puppet bağdat and US puppet krg
Nicholas Peterson
>Assad's job may be far from over.
The SAA really has to get its shit together. I'm aware they lost a good chunk of its professional troops over the course of five years, but they need to secure Damascus, surround Aleppo and create a road to Deir Ezzor ASAP.
Nathaniel Johnson
...
William Hill
Also notice how accurate the targets were destroyed. It's like they knew where the important stuff is. Maybe """someone""" told them
Christian Rogers
Maybe, maybe the russians are not as competent as they've told us to be.
Gavin Stewart
>krg Isn't it a bit of a schizophrenic position Turkey has in this weird ass war in the area? The US sponsoring these groups most hostile to Turkey, yet you are holding the same position on the Assad government for them, who then in turn semi-support some of the other Kurd groups in revenge? It's hard to see who's "winning" here but it's definitely not you.
Evan Wright
Rocket artillery can have ranges from 20 - 50km
Since only the part of the airstrip where the helicopters are was hit, ISIS must have had intel.
Jacob Smith
Maybe Turkey doesn't really want to end PKK. Some guy on a turkish television said that the turkish troops had excellent training on urban and mountain assymetric warfare over the past few months.
Easton Diaz
Talk to erdo not meh lol He is a US puppet, Assad offered him to fight against k*rds and shiites but he refused
Andrew Barnes
nobody cares
they could be stalin incarnate as long as they're killing turks and ISIS
Dominic Butler
>Assad offered him to fight against k*rds and shiites but he refused Assad also armed and supported the PKK against Turkey and even provided a safe haven for Öcalan.
Camden Roberts
AKP doesn't want to end PKK not Turkey. He wins elections with propaganda SEE how many terrorist we killed etc etc

>Not knowing that ISIS and Murat who constantly cucks and beats you is a sweet breeze in comparison to communism.
Jaxson Stewart
Which will fall first Ar Raqqa? Mosul? or Al Fallujah? I believe these cities are Sunni Islamist strongholds and will take months or even years to clear out! The Shias are going to have a wonderful time in Fallujah... Sarcasm.
Aaron Cruz
God dammit the SSNP is literally pol tier and based as hell. They are something to aspire to.
Wish we had something similar here in Lithuania
Isaac Flores
Isis want to ban this.
Jackson Garcia
Fallujah is next, it's causing too much of a headache for Baghdad. They were shelling it today.
Thomas Murphy
What the hell.. History shows that Fallujah is a hell hole that deserves to be nuked.
Leo Scott
SDF are preparing the Raqqa offensive and Iraqi army is starting the Al Fallujah offensive.
Apparently ISIS relocated their wives from Raqqa to Deir Ez Zor and is preparing defensive positions.
Al Fallujah is already besieged, I don't expect it to hold longer than 2 months.
Oliver Flores
sup /sg/
some time ago there was footage of an m1 abrahams tank and a t-72(?) fighting side by side in iraq (where used by PMU forces)
does anyone still have the vid?
Much obliged

Grayson Stewart
Too bad he's a roach
Robert Jones
I mean, the western media can't jump right into it without having the green light. Russia fucking shit up in Syria is beneficial for too many important players in the west.
Gavin Roberts
Russia is showing no signs of resistance. their 5th column government is in Full Retreat mode. They (the Russians) are advancing from defeat to defeat.
William Morgan
