Doesn't look that big to me. Fuck off with your fishing boat faggot.

>this fucking thread again
Kill yourself retard

20 good ships?

submarines were already pretty stealthy though? what's the point

Am i being trolled softly? Being Stealth isn't being optically stealthy

Was there not some story on how this boat is actually causing problems for other vessels and radar systems because it is too stealthy?

it is actually. putting a submarine far underwater is a really great way to be 'optically stealthy' - explain to me why this is better than a submarine with diffuse, orthogonal surfaces?

Boats are so ugly now a days
Everything is ugly these days cars, buildings, computers even TV sets

can you not reply with kids cartoons in this adult thread?

>this same thread again
>the same brain-dead retards who reply to it every time

I think it means more stealthy from the air? Or radar? I don't know, I don't know much about this stuff to be honest so I'm just guessing

Subs are expensive to operate and not very fun to have to live underwater.

WE WUZ SHIPBUILDERS AND SHIEETTT

All those stress concentrators. That boat will be cracked to fuck after a fewmonths of use.

Railgun when

The ship will be seen m80 whatever the shape it's a fucking giant ship. Stealth is the material and avoiding radar and shit like that.

>edges on a submarine
You just ruined the whole thing

Because you need both surface vessels and subs.

Subs can't do it all

The Zumwalt is gonna be awesome and we're gonna have railguns and seamen and you're not invited.

youtube.com/watch?v=r_yUNm8Tl9o

Stealth is a word defense contractors use to market worthless things to military decision makers and their fat wallets. It's actually meaningless.

>dae feel like they were born in the wrong era
XDDD

way to go back to 1919 technology American navy.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT TO PUT A 2000 TON MAGNET ON A SHIP AND MAKE IT STILL FLOAT.

>this is just more proof niggers are in charge

HAHAHAA THATS EXACTLY WHAT I MEANT WOW YOU SURE GOT ME
Please tell me your Chinese plastic crap TV looks better than this

Or that a blue glass box looks better than this

John get off the Sup Forums

Who the hell is John?

Even if that's the correct weight you could easily have a destroyer escorted rail gun ship that would fire these 6 mach projectiles. The only problem right now is firing rate and gun life

Nice building grandpa

Seen by what? The earth is round afterall. If it's seen it will be intentional

Originality
Try it sometime

>making this same thread again
hang yourself you fucking sped

google "what is radar" and "how does radar work"

not to mention the fucking magnets would fuck with the electrical equipment on the boat and warp the steel of the boat when using a magnet that powerful.

Ugly boring blue glass box there's literally a thousand similar looking buildings here

so were you born this retarded or did you have to work at it?

Okay i AM being trolled. fuck it's late

Reminder the bastards working on this boat hide in the boat and drink on the job.
Fuck it, it's good enough for government work.
9/5 - IGN.

It's supposed to be stealthy against radar, not visually stealthy.

Troll ship.

are you dumb dude? do you not understand how magnets and electrical and how they dont go well together?

>Cover all the masts and antennas with cheap aluminum fareing.
>Paint it with some overpriced "radar absorbing" grey paint.
>HURRRR DURRRR WE BE STEALTH NOW

Former submariner here. Don't make me laugh. Pic related. It's what a real stealth boat looks like.

FUCKING POO

It's stealthy only when radars are off, boat without radars is just a boat with some guns. Why would you need 240m boat with a couple of guns?

But how tall is it really?

reminder this is a shill thread that keep spaming the same thread over and over again to derail the board
If you replied to this thread to are newfag

You still around? Please don't even bother... Shoo shoo poo

You're forcing my hand here. There's ways to circumvent that if you're being genuine... If you're not please stop

Different types of weapon systems can be used on a boat, vs a sub. Also monitoring things like the air, for idk, planes and shit, probably not super easy in a submarine. Really that's a stupid question, they would play completely different roles.

When did this Become hotter than this?

>uSBAD

it has a railgun

It doesn't.

It has guns, vertical launch missiles, and a helipad.

>Implying naval engagements are not in the 300+ kilometers range
>Implying it's stealth for the human eyes, when it's stealth toward radars, and maybe sonars, too

And where will you shoot rockets when your radars are off?

you have yet to explain how magnets and electrical systems go well together

it goes in all fields slider-kun

>can you not reply with kids cartoons in this adult thread?

adult cartoons?

You don't necessarily need radar to launch missiles.

looks like a 40k ork boat lol

You strip away all the cheap aluminum faring and OP's boat would look just like yours. Military contractors just need to come out with new generations of ships every 20 years ago so they can keep building them and selling them.

40 years ago seeing lots of masts and antennas and radar towers seemed cool and futuristic. Now, having everything super simple and covered up seems cool and futuristic. So the contractors just through some faring over all the shit on the outside and go "OoooOoooHhhhh! The future is here! Only 1.5 billion dollars each!"

And congressmen just eat it up. It retarded. If we just kept the electronics and computer systems updated we could be using the same ships we commissioned in world war 2.

None of those work without radar. Except heli but I doubt that's stealth. Cant use radio either, can triangulate location.

I won't write a novel here explaining how you can avoid it. Listen; they do indeed go poorly together. The thing is you can make it so they don't have to, and limit the magnetic field to the target area

>Hey it's me your friendly neighborhood AWACS!
>Have any targets you need designated chief?

>posting pics is hard

>You don't necessarily need radar to launch missiles

If you want them to actually hit something far away, then yes, you need radar to guide them to the target.

dazzle camo is best camo

mmk

Yeah, try to move that thing. It weighs about 450000000000000000 pounds.

tell me the basics

Why is the same stupid faggot making this same thread every day

the boat is tall but its still a fucking stealth boat

Not with modern missile systems. They have integrated radar packages and inertial navigation systems allowing them to operate independently of the firing platforms fire control system.

You can fire these missiles in the general direction of the enemy and they're smart enough to lock them and calculate an intercept course.

>AMRAAM uses two-stage guidance when fired at long range. The aircraft passes data to the missile just before launch, giving it information about the location of the target aircraft from the launch point and its direction and speed. The missile uses this information to fly on an interception course to the target using its built-in inertial navigation system (INS). This information is generally obtained using the launching aircraft's radar, although it could come from an Infra-red search and track system, from a data link from another fighter aircraft, or from an AWACS aircraft.

>Once the missile closes to self-homing distance, it turns on its active radar seeker and searches for the target aircraft. If the target is in or near the expected location, the missile will find it and guide itself to the target from this point. If the missile is fired at short range, within visual range (WVR) or the near BVR, it can use its active seeker just after launch, making the missile truly "fire and forget".

>Have any targets you need designated

I need a shitting street ASAP

Let's discuss another thing. It's made of wood.

Every dollar and hour of engineers' attention spent on solving the problem of how to make an UNDERWATER boat is a dollar / hour which is not spent making it a bigger, safer, deadlier, etc. boat

I'm going to sleep and i'm sorry but you can literally google the following
"How to/Containing a magnetic field"
"Blocking a magnetic field"
"Magnetic Flux, Magnetic Permeability"
"Superconductors" (more futuristic but material science progress brings them closer veryday since they dont need to be super cooled any more"
"Magnetic/Electromagnetic shielding"

It's designed around eventually holding a railgun/Free-electron laser but the first generation will use 155 mm AGS.

The current energy required for an effective combat railgun is too high at the moment.

You mean the Russian Navy?

Fuck I love me some dazzle camo.

shieeeeeeeeet

Is it damage control or ignorance? I'm not trying to troll, It's made of wood. Literally.

ecks dee

>The wood composite material was selected to meet fire-retardance/fire containment requirements, reduce radar and IR signature and weight, and control construction costs. Apparently, balsa burns more slowly than foam and better insulates the opposite sandwich skin from heat. The 2-3 inch wood core is sandwiched between layers of carbon fiber and vinyl ester with a stainless steel mesh integrated into the external skin, providing electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and a lightning ground in the otherwise nonconductive panels. The wood composite panels are being applied to the upper four levels of the superstructure (the lower three are steel) and the hangar. Similar materials were used to build the prominent pyramidal mast enclosures on the LPD-17 class.

That's how I said, Wood. I bet you can make a hole in this boat with a 9mm.

Just fucking with you, Bacя

I imagine if you're shooting at it with your Makarov it's already too late.

If I'm shooting at it with my Makarov then stealth mission of a stealth boat has failed.

Even then, the Japs were gay.

>he didn't name it russojapanesewar.jpg

you had one job

That's what I mean, if you're an enemy actor aboard it all the stealth tech in the world doesn't matter for shit.

But you'd have to see it first and manage to get close enough to board it without getting BTFO in the first place.

nice sub u have thar shipm8

Pintel and ragetti can explain this to you

What is rust?

If you say so m8.

>What is rust?

something the Russian navy isn't very good at dealing with :^)

>what is radar?
You really think stealth means "people can't see it with their eyes"?

The most Sup Forums game you can play. I kill niggers every day

Were the designing engineers really black, or is that just some Sup Forums humor?

it will be seen if youre within 2 nautical miles on a clear day with no wave action

in fog at night from 3 nautical miles this ship will be lobbing cruise missiles at your air base and you won't know where the fuck the dicks going up your ass is coming from

>welcome to 1954
