now that i think about it, okc, kid a, and amnesiac there were some songs i liked but it was consistent like their other albums for me) were released rather quickly after each other compared to ir, tkol and amsp. even httt only took a couple years.

Thom's melodies are as good as ever on his solo stuff, but without RH to fill out the sound it all just feels cold and repetitious to me.
AFP brings a lot of energy and creativity into their live shows, though, and I wish that the studio versions sounded like that - fuller and funkier. Also, Ingenue is a fucking amazing song but it's 1000000x better in Thom's solo piano version.
