Agreed, though, I think it's more technical than this as scales of [intelligence/ability*/knowledge*] is not what IQ was created for, so, I guess I should say I was just being sarcastic about that.

I dunno what kind of IQ test you where using, but most IQ tests used some pretty obscure trivia, not pure reasoning skills. There was a nice meme about Binet using fucking questions on exclusion of 5th with 4 cities on same longitude, with correct answer on other longitude. No amount of reasoning will get you through that, only knowledge of trivia.
It wasn't a complete outlier either.
IQ is a really messy thing, and highly dependent on what test you take.

It was created for chess, which I'm quite fond of.
It actually measures your ability to solve logical problems, to adapt on solving them.

R+ just means better than the average that test has produced. Someone will probably contact you about further testing to get a more acute idea about your repertoire of useless knowledge. About half of test takers get that result. Have fun paying out the ass for the next one.
