Just got done stringing up with pic related on a 24.75 scale guitar. Didn't have much of a chance to fool with my guitar afterwards, and I had a damn hard time trying to rush through installing them as I was unfamiliar with the sizes.
Right off the bat, it sounds really bad. For one, my poor tuner cannot keep up with the lower pitch. And the tuning stability is terrible too. There is no sustain and it's obviously super muddy.
Maybe with enough eqing I can get something out of it? Or is downtuning to F# pointless on this scale length guitar?

Two independent phrases played along side eachother, typically one ascending and one descending, in the context of guitar, both phrases are played at the same time on the same guitar, you're only really going to hear it in bluegrass and classical music.
Nathaniel Allen
Yo what the fuck is OP pic lol

>tuner can pick up a bass' low b >cant pick up a regular guitar's F#, which is higher than the muddy b wtf
Friendly reminder: the kiddies who post in /gg/ threads have nearly ***zero*** experience concerning guitar. Playing, repair, new player recommendations, etc. The average age in these threads is around early 20s: green as shit grass.
If you have an actual question this is probably one of the most uninformed & least knowledgeable places you could ever expect a proper answer to come from.
Be weary of any advice given here as it's amateur & perfunctory at best.
Have a nice day.

The babies in /gg/ can cry all they want, this is the straight unadulterated truth. This ought to be the OP of every /gg/ thread so everybody knows what's up before they listen to any of the idiotic advice/opinions that get shit out here.
Carter Jones
why you took the bridge pickup off and put an empty pickup cover on its place

Hello there my new friends of Guitar General!
What do you think of Grimes as a guitar player? Me? I think she's great!
Feel free to discuss your own opinions of her guitar playing skills if you'd like!

She's alright I guess. I much prefer Tays country guitar licks though. She's gotten better as a guitarist as her career has progressed

I know this is /gg/ but asking about drums. What are some good Sup Forums recommended books, videos, youtubers, websites for drumming? Would like something that's for beginner but also advanced stuff. Currently have The Drummers Bible but that's about it.

>it's a thing of beauty to find a guitar that physically embodies your lifestyle like that. You are so right, my friend!
Here it is, kids: 7, 8, and 9 string guitars are the result of kids playing in their bedrooms for years and years all alone. The poor kid in this video ( youtube.com/watch?v=osaqzYuoNr4) overly technical "playing" is unfortunately just a compensation for the lack of a bass player. It's sad because the point of music is communication and the most enjoyable form of this communication is a concert (where people gather to share the musical experience). The only people who'd be interested in this kind of guitar wankery are other isolated bedroom-stuck 7, 8, and 9 string guitar troglodytes, so it's YouTube and the bedroom again, and MOM WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY HOT POCKETS?!?
Seriously though, it's a symptom of extreme social detachment, and goes right along with a lot of other unhealthy things like playing video games as an adult, masturbating to internet porn, etc. You'll also notice all these bedroom "pastimes" require a good bit of rapid hand/finger movement.
Playing music shouldn't be the equivalent of mashing buttons on a video game controller or furiously jacking your tiny dick, which is obviously what 7, 8, and 9 string guitar players believe.

dunno dude just google: justin guitar for drums

All jokes aside, Annie's such a great inspiration for young female guitar players (and OMG could the music world use more female guitar players with highly technical chops like Annie!). She's so creative and innovative, not to mention easy on the eyes (hubba hubba!). She can go from smooth indie punk styling to full on Jimi Hendrix fuzz freakouts in the same song and make it all seem seamless and natural.
Can we not share in the unbridled ridicule of thoughtless Mememachiners™, Anons?
For what are we, if not brothers in disposition? Do we not cringe at the sight of "monkey see, monkey do"? Do we not shed tears in the throws of joyful laughter at the pointless self-masturbation? Do we not gag at the thought of dry Hot Pockets and flat Mountain Dew®? Are we not kinsmen safe in the knowledge that YouTube is not our destination, nor was it ever our destiny!?!
Some of us were born better than that! Tis a pity we couldn't all have been ;___;

/gg/, I have a little confession to make.
I don't know if any of you know this or not but I love John Frusciante's guitar playing. No of course you wouldn't know that, I've never been in a Guitar General before in my life! Ha ha haa this is my first time EVER! I listen to Froosh's guitar playing everyday almost! I love every aspect of it. The guy is one in a Billion with a capital "B"! The "B" probably stands for free Basing cocaine! HAA HA HA!
