Essential Italy Chart Remake

A couple of us Italianons remade the old "Essential Italian Music" chart, adding new genres and albums.
Any opinions and suggestions?

In case you can't read the image's content properly, here's a higher res version that Sup Forums wouldn't let me upload: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/357226264328929295/357897085695295488/EssentialItalianMusic.jpg

>no metal section
wew

Help us make one then, we had like 2 albums

Besides metal, needs a /classical/ and /opera/ section

Off the top of my head are Vanadium, Progenie Terrestre Pura and Rhapsody

Aborym - With No Human Intervention
Mortuary Drape - All the Witches Dance
Death SS - ...In Death of Steve Sylvester
Schizo - Main Frame Collapse
Ad Nauseam - NQVOE
Spite Extreme Wing - Vltra
Ras Algethi - Oneiricon: The White Hypnotic
Fides Inversa - Hanc Aciem Sola Retundit Virtus (The Algolagnia Divine)

You forgot Luciano Cilio - Del'Universe Assente

We will put him in the classical section when we make one

Excellent

So far this is what we have for metal, any suggestions?

isnt "dumbo gets mad" Italian?

>dumbo gets mad
They are, do you think we should add them? And in which section?

you could add the bloody beetroots

Thanks guys! Our knowledge on italian metal is limited so we decided to wait for outside help instead of filling it randomly. Hopefully we'll get it ready very soon.

I can ask a friend of mine to help with the classical, but I can'tgo contribute much regarding opera.

Thanks everyone, also what do you think about the overall chart and the Sup Forumsnucleo idea?

Here's a good article for starters:
nytimes.com/1987/10/11/arts/recordings-a-discography-of-19th-century-italian-opera.html?pagewanted=all

>Aborym
replace "With No Human Intervention (it's pretty generic) by the more original "Kali Yuga Bizarre"

I also added some suggestion from metalhead friends who browse Sup Forums

if possible add
>Dark Quarterer - s/t
it is Iron Maiden-tier

i'll give some recs for a Library Music subchart asap.

BTW, I very liked "Non al denaro non all'amore né al cielo", I can't wait to listen to "Storia di un impiegato"

Fabrizio is the GOAT

bump

The Library Music chart sounds like a great idea tbqhfam

I picked 20 Library Music ones: have fun :)

Thank you so much!

Also, 12000 Lunes is one of my favorite albums ever. Lucio Dalla truly was a genius and that album the motherload of his best music.

some classical recs

antonio vivaldi – le quattro stagioni (herbert von karajan)
claudio monteverdi – vespro della beata vergine (jordi savall)
arcangelo corelli – 12 concerti grossi op. 6 (trevor pinnock)
carlo gesualdo – tenebrae (the hilliard ensemble)
goffredo petrassi – magnificat; salmo ix (gianandrea noseda)
giacinto scelsi – quattro pezzi per orchestra; anahit; uaxuctum (jürg wyttenbach)
ottorino respighi – festi di roma; pini di roma; feste romane (eugene ormandy)
luigi nono – orchestral works & chamber music (swr symphony orchestra)
musica futurista: antologia sonora (cramps records)

Thank you, we really appreciate the effort my friend

Thank you. Do you have any recording from Scarlatti to recommend?

I personally prefer 12000 Lune too, even though I ended up putting his s/t on the chart because it kinda sounds more accessible

necrodeath, forgotten tomb, bulldozer, lacuna coil, ufomammut on the top of my head, maybe lento

>neapolitan Bjork knock-off in the "best and most influential albums"
>no La Voce de Padrone in the entire list

It's 2017 and we still have these threads.

oh yes I like a lot cripple bastards too, and they are famous in the scene abroad, but idk if they fit in the category; should add raein in the hardcore section too

I mean we already have Sulle corde di Aries from Battiato; we debated Meg but we put her there as a more bubblegum oriented version of bjork (since she is kinda Sup Forumscore)

>no early Alan Sorrenti
>no Juri Camisasca
>no Roberto Cacciapaglia
>no Kina
>no Raw Power
>no Cripple Bastards
>no Scisma
>no Ustmamo'
>no Bugo
>no Maisie
>no Madrigali Magri
>no A Short Apnea
>no Ovo
>no Bachi da Pietra

it's almost worse than the previous one

all memes

Ustmamo are there and we already added Cripple Bastards in the metal section; I will keep the other suggestion and add them

You forgot the best metal album from Italy

also Pankow and Confusional Quartet

Paolo Conte, for fuck's sakes

Will add these tomorrow
Added these

Btw we'll probably rearrange them by subgenre when we add the metal section

nice

yw
France has also a lot of great Library Music composers too ;)

Ennio Morricone should be on there.

He's in the "core" (nucleo)

Thanks for the recs!

Keep posting recs if you have some, I will check 'em tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who contributed!
