Ok so he has two good songs. Wake me when Bob's dead.

RIP Grant
posting my favourite release by Hüsker Dü:

...and the first song from his first EP outside Hüsker Dü:

I don't know if he was holding back a George Harrison level gush of great songs, but that's as good a place to start as any

fucking legends

Is this the video for Landspeed Record? It sounds exactly like it except way different mixing.

So it's real.
2541 is his best song and one of the best ever written.

Lost swirling psych pop gem from Warehouse:

man, I think I like that song even more right now (the key changes, probably)
here's a song that may be overplayed, but is absolutely essential when bringing up Grant Hart's best songs:

Oh crap I totally forgot this was his song. RIP

Glad I saw him solo in '03 in LA. I requested Data Control.

Fitting that Husker Du is almost the one major American band of the 80s that never reformed. They're totally locked into that 1979-87 time frame.

Pic taken from Bob Mould s FB epitaph, which is pretty sterile and polite, like something a PR guy eoyld write or a politician would say, pretty lame.

I can't be arsed to find the link but y'all should watch the YouTube vid of Husker Due on Joan River's late night show, funny interview and great performance of Could You Be The One iirc

Oh and nice pic, OP, goddamn you're a faggot.
>inb4 'only being a faggot for Grant'!

literally W H O

(not true, by the way)

See
Everything else I've heard is average at best.

Does anyone else like Warehouse Songs as much as me?

i don't know how much you like it but i like it a lot

youtube.com/watch?v=vefkvjcjNj8

Awkward interview. Probably the first (ex-)hardcore punk group on national TV. Unless you wanna count the Replacements on SNL.

>Probably the first (ex-)hardcore punk group on national TV. Unless you wanna count the Replacements on SNL.
Who else was there?

Data control is a great song man

Looks like the poor homo caught the AIDS.

RIP Monsieur Hart.

>Grant Hart
I didn't like his solo work, but with Zen Arcade he served an important role in creating one of the greatest albums of all time so I think he should at least be lauded for that

>one of the most prolific rock groups in the country
>made like five albums
Sorry I had to stop there, I could tell it was already going to be a stupid interview

I believe he did all the cover art, or most of it. Zen Arcade is one of the magnificent covers ever. I bought a vinyl copy just to have it large.
Five albums in FOUR years, including two doubles!

Trips posts BEST Husker Du album!

I'm OP and I put up a notice and tried to get the mods to take down this post because I posted the wrong pic.

Seriously. It was an ACCIDENT! I DID NOT MEAN TO POST THE SEX PISTOLS!

Ease up on a poster, will ya ya Limey cunt!

KYS!

I don't are if you got trips, THAT'S THE WRONG PIC!

No, that would be FEAR on SNL.

you're right, I forgot about that. that was 1981
