are there any girls on /classical/?

Wasn't he an educator, his works being mostly exercises.
People somehow believe he was a composer, huh.

not for beta frogposters

...

oh no not another one of these
many years ago there was a trip who was a soprano. Then I suppose there was Ame but that's a sort of [s]he situation

Guys i want to start my big collection of /classical/.
How can i download in Mega without download limit? Im quite stuck in Renaissance ;_;

I kind of want this thread to die desu

kys

why?

i can be a girl for you bb

How to tell my teacher that I want to become a world class trombonist without sounding like a complete tryhard? Will he understand that I want to become world class if I practice a lot and write down on a notebook after each lesson? Or should I straight up say "im not like the other boys ;))) be my fucking tiger mom (male)

can anyone give some good oboe solos? my pleb friend wants to start playing sax but i want to fight the good fight and convince him to play oboe instead

youtu.be/8fRZRl4JQWg?t=12

tell him and back it up with performance and discipline

I'm having my first lesson on the trombone ever in January (8 years experience on violin/piano)
Do teachers get impressed by rapid improvement or do they just think "whatever, he's not as good as me, why would I be impressed?"?

I am hard.

Sad that he was transferred to Russia and fell into obscurity.

Is Verklarte Nacht the endgame of tonality?

more like Verklarte NOT!!!!

no Tristan is. Everything else is just circling the drain before Schoenberg finally did something about it

>study music theory
>tfw no longer enjoy music
Music was all about stimulating my imagination, but i am now unable to do that because i automatically begin to try to dissect a piece of music once i hear it
Anyone know this feel?

no, it's pretty easy for me to turn off my brain when I don't want to analyze

>tfw too intelligent for music

How do you name a piece when it changes home key from minor to major in the middle?
youtube.com/watch?v=2-4IATfVxYw

thats like saying you cant enjoy politics because you read marx or cant enjoy wars because you read clausewitz. and those probably approximated the underlying reality better than the existing analytical paradigms for music.

bipolar

>How do you name a piece when it changes home key
a.. piece?
musical forms have little to do with keys

...

>trip
Do you mean a trap?

I think unstable tonality

no there was a soprano who I spoke with on a number of occasions, whereas Ame was a trip-trap and a distinct person

I don't think so.

terrible comparison. Nobody enjoys politics or wars

Once again, can someone explain the purpose of enharmonics? How do I know what form an interval is in.

>i'm soooo autistic
0/10

this
fuck that user

>not enjoying war
faggot

have you ever participated in wars?

yes, love it

which ones?

none of your business, fag
music is continuation of war with other means

mostly to help with charting key signatures

Then you're a cheap phoney with delusions if you can't say it right away.

>he didn't fight in the meme wars

Today I saw a live opera for the first time in my life.

It wasn't very good ;_;

Let me guess: Verdi?

nope

Wagner

wrong again

Offenbach.

where and what?

puccini

It was Mozart's Figaro, in Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, if that means anything to you...

so it doesn't do anything to distinguish the character of an interval within a chord or a wider context?

You better have been upset only by the performance.

mozart more like moshart amirite??? mflao

Figaro is one of the best operas ever written so it's a shame that you didn't enjoy it.
I mean yeah it can affect how you spell a chord

in general, sharped notes want to lead upwards while flatted notes want to lead downwards
the best example would be augmented sixth chords

Figaro is hilarious if done right

D I N G D I N G

The performance started off badly, I feel (I don't have real musical education). But certainly the dynamics were fucked because at multiple points I literally couldn't hear the singer (the orchestra would overwhelm them). This was fixed by the end of the first act, and generally the music was enjoyable, but the beginning left a bad taste in my mouth.
The direction and scenography weren't impressive either. I've seen plenty of plays, so I really don't think the singers should be wandering around the stage completely aimlessly while someone else is having an aria.
Overall, it wasn't unlistenable or truly, truly bad in any aspect, but it's not what I hoped for. The first theatrical play I saw was done masterfully, it showed me how great the art form can be, while this... eh...

I listened to Karajan's 1950 performance earlier this week and liked it.

Wait until you here the true GOAT recording of Figaro.

Hey classical, I have a desperate need for a music style, and if anyone knew what it would be called, it would be you guys because I know classical music is full of it.

Is there a word or musical term for overlapping choral melodies, where different parts of the choir sing different words and melodies at the same time?

youtube.com/watch?v=jgR8yriJt7k

It's called heterophony

Anything like this out there? Lke a whole piece

ww.youtube.com/watch?v=_H60HSh5BjM

>my second favorite organ piece by Bach is now a vocaloid
I don't know how to feel about this

>it's called heterophony
>meanwhile I'm trying to find all male choirs that sing this way to appease my homosexuality

It's not even about being gay or not; men are just much better singers than women.

Hauer is your man

youtube.com/watch?v=Cegje3tdCyY

>men are just much better singers than women.
yeah, only if you include castrated men
if you don't, men can't do higher registers for shit

Embarrassingly wrong post.

huh, I can post the rarest female singers with low voices too
I won't because I have decent taste.

>rare
And he just keeps on embarrassing himself further.
>taste
You wouldn't know what taste if even if it licked you in the asshole lmao what a fucking dilettante.

How the fuck can this be twelve tone music? Its gorgeous

>"woah I'm so much better than anyone else"
>pisses his pants

i'll show you some good oboe tricks, eh eh?

>projecting
Pathetic.

>can't enjoy wars
what did user mean by this?

not as pathetic as people sounding like the opposite genger

Yeah no one can be as pathetic as you.

>16th century
big news: the aristocracy is no more, the enlightenment is no more, the modernity is no more
so yes, modern 'wars' are just vile, pointless and miserable

enjoy your faux sense of superiority then

Gee Henry, why did your mum let you have SIX WIVES??

canon???
