Try to watch some videos on compression and EQing, that helped me a lot starting out, In my opinion FL Studio is a little hard to figure out and kind of convoluted to use cause I use logic pro X, but really all DAW's are is different tools to achieve the same result. Get some decent headphones and monitors too if you haven't already

Lol I use M-50's very nice choice, I just think its good to have monitors and phones and use them in combination to work out any kinks, I find that closed back headphones are a little bass heavy at points. If you can't afford monitors yet just get a cheap boombox or listen in your car.
