I´m in a small town, many farmers around, some Fallobstwiesen (sorry dunno the translation).
Most of my friends have a house with garden too, so there would be enough space for planting veggies.
However the first "phase", till the troublemakers died either through violence or starvation would be problematic.
Cant attend a farm when you constantly have to watch for looters etc. Maybe forming a militia.

I prefer NRG5 for longterm storage (15+years shelflife) and cans of veggies/meat/fish which I regularly eat too.
