it's not about camera only but in this case 90% yes
due to the brightness of the reflection the camera exposes the earth, if you wanted to see the stars you have to overexpose it and lose details on earth to see stars
just like when you stand between the sun and your camera and take a selfie....either the background gets overexposed or you will become pitch black
