When there are literally only two options, then you are forced to pick the lesser of two evils, unless your intention is to make things worse.
It's not a 'card' or a 'meme', it's the only choice we have. You think I like the two party system? I fucking hate it, and I'm hoping that with this election, if Trump can gain enough support throughout his Presidency, that he might be able to form his own party, and get things rolling towards destroying the status quo.
At the very least, the average American is now able to see how shitty our system is. The Republicans have been forced to pick someone who doesn't represent their leaders, but their constituents, and the Democrats are coming apart at the seams due to the intense battle between Sanders and Clinton.
As awful as things may seem now, this time in history is only a mere stepping stone to either make things significantly better, or significantly worse. Either way, something will happen, and the status quo will not go on. Either people will be liberated by a leader, eventually, or they will liberate themselves, due to frustration and anger.

That was the condition Trump set for the debate, Bernie would have to pay for privilige of debating Trump. That would have bankrupt Sanders campaign. Sanders tried to get outsiders to pay for it, which wasn't the condition Trump set forward. No debate is the result. Now when the media asks Trump why wouldn't debate, he can say Bernie was unwilling to give his money to charity which isn't in keeping with Bernie's ideals. You need to be thinking two steps ahead.
