I guess this is the Tchaikovsky arrangement, and the lyrics are innovative, but it's still French. Can't find good instrumentation for one with the original lyrics about Henri IV.
Icelandic music is so amazing that it's unfair. Is the any more like Amiina, Múm and Sigur Rós? How is the live music scene there?
Sharing Múm ones of my favourite tunes from one of my favorite Icelandic bands.

"Muğam" music... Almost no youth(below 25-ish) likes this, but they end up getting hooked up to it someday.
And this from wiki:
A short selection of Azerbaijani mugham, played on the Azerbaijani wind instrument balaban, was included among many cultural achievements of humanity on the Voyager Golden Record, which was attached to the Voyager spacecraft to represent world music.[6][7][8]
In 2003, UNESCO recognized mugam as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.[9]
The crescendo from 5:45 is phenomenal.
Ulver
started their career as a black metal band, now it's something completely different

Has anyone seen Poland or France as of late?
Do you like Anaquim? They are a bit hit and miss for me, but their good stuff is great:
youtube.com
I have heard of them, but haven't really listened to any of their stuff.
We have too much trouble promoting good artists even inside our borders. That Sam Úria's song I just posted doesn't even have 100k views but everyone to whom I show it seems to like it. I also found it by accident on youtube.
Eh. I don't think that's a particularly Portuguese problem. All non-pop songs require a bit of searching to get to.
That album cover will always be one of my favorites.
