Neurofunk hasn't been good nor relevant in over a decade now

I beg to differ sir, today's neuro kinda feels less for drug users.

Why is dubstep coming back with a different name, and why people are pretending this is something else

>coming back
Neurofunk is older than what the mainstream knows as dubstep (or brostep, which btw peaked with the awesome Scary Monsters release by Skrillex)

Not into Neurofunk at all these days, I liked how it sounded when it was first coming up out of Techstep, I really liked it around 2007 up until maybe 5 or so years ago when Neosignal was becoming a huge label but since then it sort of changed in a direction which I wasn't a fan of. The only thing remotely close to Neurofunk I listen to that I like is some of the stuff on Critical Recordings. I still listen to Blackout NL releases but I think most of them are pretty bad, including the new State of Mind, Black Sun Empire and Current Value stuff and I used to really like all three of those. I'm not into Eatbrain at all and they seem like the biggest Neurofunk label around these days.

However this came out last year and absolutely smashed it and the label seems to be more of the same.

And the year before pic related was almost AOTY.

Dubstep is back under riddim, which is okay, but not like that good shit made in 2006-2010

any good new brostep? nobody can top scary monsters and nice sprites desu.

I've been liking critical a lot lately, along with hospital and med school. Ram has been mediocre, viper has been terrible, and eatbrain has been hit/miss. I miss virus and citrus a lot. Both great labels that just died. And dieselboy hasn't put out any new mixes in a while, but his collaborations with mark the beast are incredible. Techstep should've died anyway, as it would've gotten too big and got oversatutated.
