I started playing Fallout 4 a week ago and have played it like 15h now. I'm usually not into computer games, but this game is amazing.

Get yourself the railway gun - it's just so much fun to use and extremely efficient.

I have read about that in the loading screen. It also said you can pin your enemies to the wall if they're close to it. Is that right?
Play as much side quest as possible, I broke a bunch the minute I finished the brotherhood.
Take out cores when you decide to leave your PA. Invest in science to get the 3rd to last perk for longer core life. Ammo find perk is better then caps because you can sell ammo you don't use. Companions are your call I never used them. Stay safe out there.
Break the game. Starting at level 17, combat shotguns start to stop. Go to the national training yard. There is a building filled with about 5 ghouls. 1 of which is is usually legendary. Farm for the explosive combat shotgun.
Boost rifleman, and explosive expert perks.
1 or 2 shot anything in the game on any difficulty.
Bleed shotgun and explosive mini guns are also overpowered drops. But the explosive shotgun is more pratical and a lot more fun.

the railway gun is truly one of th e best guns and really early to obtain. I use chems a lot, specially "jet". So i skilled to become immune on the addiction, i also increase the working time of chems. I think this are the best tips beside the increased weapon craftmanships.

OP again. I usually never use vats, probably only 1 time in 2 hours gameplay. Should I use it?
Its a shit game for autistic people, why anyone would spend hours on a game with mexican-grade mechanics and text-based dialogue is beyond me. Get a fucking life, or get whatever gun talked about and use it on yourself. You're wasting air
That's usually more of a personal thing if you want to use it, however vats is how you fill your crit meter so keep that in mind
I am lvl 17 now. I got like 3 levels from one quest xp because that dumb savagery perk (or whatever it's called) activated. got like 2.5k xp

Uninstall Fallout 4, install Fallout New Vegas. The experience is better, story is better, DLC is better, content is better, mods are better. Gunplay isn't as good, but as a hardcore Fallout fan, I can still come back to New Vegas after thousands of hours. I only dumped about 200 into 4 and I never want to play it again. Story is too linear. Even the different paths you can take involve doing the same fucking missions, just one different sides. Play it once and dump it, imo.

Power armor is useless unless you're going into the glowing sea. Not worth wasting fusion cores to just explore in. Have a stock of food because there's no animation when closing pipboy, so you can immediately fight back if you need to. It'll still take time to heal, but no animation means you can keep shooting and hopefully kill what's fucking you.
Is there a companian who isn't a faggot. Every time I steal or murder someone innocent it says "XY hated that" or when I use something savage in dialogue. Is there a companian who actually likes bad guys?

Then you can break the game. I go for an explosive combat shotgun every playthrough just to have one. Its absurdly good. And makes every VATS sequence fun af as you get to watch limbs fly off in several directions with one trigger pull.
I cannot stress using ricochet enough. Skip critical banker, get the death perk in luck tree, and become a vats machine
The dog companion has no affection so he won't care if you help enemies or murder babies

It's not a bad game. Mechanically, it's pretty good. The story is trash and is just Fallout 3 in a swapped around order, minus water.
If you use sneak based perks,you'll become OP as all hell. Ninja + Sandman for sniping, Ninja + Blitz for VATS teleport kills. Use your crtitcals and damage boosting whatnot, you can take down a super mutant behemoth in a single hit.
Also, join Railroad faction for ballistic weave mod then join Brotherhood of Steel and kill all their robohumping asses.
