thought he killed himself

no thats the other bald musician

Pretty good show.

Low Estate was pretty nice.

Dan stayed around and hung out

Planning for Burial was shit though, as was the first opening band
felt like they went on forever

also the accoustics of BB is terrible, don't know if I'll ever bother going back there

Shoutout to the guy with the PunPun shirt

*are terrible

>tfw missed the last HANL show

I got an email about that and actually considered flying over to watch that show from the UK.

>Planning for Burial was shit though

Shit performance or just not to your personal taste? I love them.

That was really nice of him. My girlfriend got a picture with him.

Essential pseudo intellectual garbage core. This band is absolute boring trash.

I met two people there who flew from over the US to be there.

>shit
I cant speak for that guy but I love Planning for Burial but his performance went on just a little too long.

listen to something else then.

probably just not to my personal taste
Hated seeing an overweight, greasy-haired guy play his home recordings for an hour and killing the upbeat mood after Low Estate

fair enough. Honestly I almost want it to be a bad show now because I didn't go lol.

You could have went downstairs and got food/drinks. None of my friends and I like Low Estate so during their performance that's what we did.

I don't care about Metal (I like some post-metal, but not the slow/drone kind), but Low Estate at least seemed like they were enjoying themselves, which made it easier to listen to

Food at BB is expensive, I just left and went to a convenience store

That's fair. I'm not a metal guy either but Low Estate did seem like it was fun. I just couldn't appreciate it. Food was expensive. I just got drinks. Expensive two but why not.

nah it's understandable, you had friends to go with; I went solo so I just wanted HANL to go on and leave

Half expected Melon to show up, but I guess it was too much for him

yeah, i thought id see him too

i did. great great show, such a fun crowd. however, i got stuck in penn station overnight lol. kinda fitting?

shit dude, that sucks. ive been stuck overnight at penn and on the lirr before. its fucking boring and sometimes awful

Was this really the last Have a Nice Life show? fuck

Did they at least play I Don't Love? I've been dying to hear a live version of it

Dan said last show for the foreseeable future. They did NOT play I Don't Love according to somebody who went.

HANL didn't play any where near me, but I caught Planning For Burial in Rock Island, one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Was it good? I've heard very mixed reviews of HANL shows

i wish they played a few more songs from deathconciousness, deep deep specifically, but it was a well done show in my opinion. depends what criticisms people have i guess.

inxy

it wasnt the acoustics, because everything sounded great after HANL had to spend a while doing sound check. before that, the speaker volume was too high for the space and it made it into a wall of sound, in a bad way.

by the way, those of you who went :
during bloodhail, which part did you choose to sing during the harmonization, and why?

i can't stop thinking about how the audience did that without any sort of instruction. i've never seen that happen at a show before. the crowd at this show was really wonderful.

i was initially really upset that they didn't play Holy Fucking Shit 40,000, but i think if they did i would have just had to kill myself immediately after from not being able to handle how much i enjoyed that show.

his performance wasn't shit. like, the music was good, but as the other poster said, the speakers were up too high for what the music was and also it was basically just him with a guitar and everything else was prerecorded. i dont have a problem with that, but can see why some people would especially when comparing to the other sets

Thought it was really good. Expected to hear only Deathconsciousness songs but when they played Dan and Tim I almost shed a tear
Also guy with the Sonic Youth Goo shirt if you're here hey how are you doing

who is this? I see him all the time in youtube comments on zach hill videos and i can never understand why he's remotely important

I was there. I was in the back with my friend and i like blacked out during PFB. Some combination of exhaustion, alcohol, and the acoustics or whatever.
Saw a portion of HANL but my friend and i started getting headaches and i was hallucinating so we split. Heard the hits so yeah. Sad i couldnt talk to Dan.

youtube.com/watch?v=9d2L2gA7c1I

some guy uploaded this and that's so far the only recording i can find
it was fucking great though wish i'd record too

Again

My friend and i walked from the staten island ferry over to brooklyn and saw mac demarco outside a tiny venue talking to a small group of young teens

We did a double take and just laughed

The whole time I was wondering why he kept rubbing his face like that

He was on the verge of tears

>Be one of the few artists to put CT on the map
>Play everywhere BUT CT
reeee

>Having a girlfriend with a great taste in music

What is your secret?! Where do I find these girls?

He was sweating like crazy. Most of us up front were. I came home drenched in sweat, a good portion of which wasn't even mine.

Probably that too.

I think that's why he's known around here, besides the fact he's also a tripfag. He comments on pretty pretty much everything Death Grips and Death Grips-related on Youtube. I've seen his comments on a whole bunch of Mars Volta videos as well.

You don't fucking get it, user!

youtube.com/watch?v=xVtuwxeqBYM

wow idk maybe try going to a show

>go to show
>future wife is already with bf

>shitty white man

YOU DONT FUCKING GET IT

...

>hmm... what's this?
>sees "Wild Torus"
>googles it
>Brooklyn, NY

Why am I not surprised?

you gotta actually go out and look my dude

that kid was an interesting person

Yo, are you the guy who wore the Death Classic shirt?

I asked my girlfriend and she said "just share what you like with the people you like"

What's that mean exactly? I even play shows and stuf.

>Still no gf

she means find someone you like and share the things you like with that person and if its a good match they'll probably come to like it too

Still tho:

Girls with good music taste
Hard to come by.

tell that to my boyfriend who doesnt like my music

post a pic. im a single sexy girl with good taste

I was the swans teeth shirt guy

:0

This me when I'm feeling drag

i didnt see a swans teeth shirt guy there but i knew that someone in the crowd was wearing that shirt. i even saw someone wearing a NERV shirt. there was a girl there wearing a shirt that said "please dont touch me, im autistic." i really couldnt tell if it was ironic or not.
my friend and i are making a shirt that has the unknown pleasures image on it but says NICE SHIRT, ASSHOLE instead of JOY DIVISION.

lol i dont think that girl was being ironic.

burping loudly in public is not the same as being autistic

There were a lot of mentionable shirts. The guy from Low Estate had a Tangerine Dream one on

i also saw a carly rae jepsen shirt...

that guy sang Psycho Killer with me and my gf before the show.
What was up with him?

Also Bloodhail was so fucking good with everyone singing the different harmonies.

he flew all the way from wyoming to see that concert.

>Live in Tennessee
>Read this thread.

I envy you guys, I would love to join you.

youtu.be/c_ltejx62mA

A good chunk of Bloodhail

Fucking christ dude. That performance of Bloodhail was a religious experience. Thanks for the video.
