t. economics bachelor who regrets choosing this meme subject

So you've also seen that ancient MIT video

Industrial Automation Engineering

gender studies

school is for homos, I dropped out at 16

Business, I wish I would be good at math so I could do sth like CS or engineering but I'm not.

Same. What year are you in now?

History & Archaeology.
Masters in both.

Malfunction

I can't even begin to imagine the amount of reading and writing involved

>amount of reading and writing
Yeah it's a lot. But it was my hobby even as a kid so it fits me.

Heavy machinery and oil wells.

>unemployment?
Not unemployed. Been working non-stop for 6 years now.

HA HA

If you don't mind saying, what do you do?

X--DD

i make more money than the average kiwi and that's working in greece

product design

I have two masters degrees in finance and a bachelors in economics. feel free to ask me anything.

>If you don't mind saying, what do you do?
Right now I'm working at the natural history museum in Stockholm (Naturhistoriska riksmuseet) and classify, identify and write information about new historical artifacts we get in from different sites.
Later this summer I'm going out into the field for a dig. It's a very fun job actually.
>pic from one of my earlier digs

Why did my mum leave me as a child?

how do you even enter uni in Germany? Here we take national exams and depending on the grades you will get assigned on a public university, institute etc

So if you want to enter business management or CS you have to be really good at math

Have a bachelor in fiscal law, currently in my last year of a bachelor in mathematics, after that probably law and finance masters somewhere.

what's the coolest thing you personally have found in a dig? that's neat Sven

how much debt are you in

because you touch yourself at night

Pretty cool 2bh. Do you think you got lucky, or is it not hard to find a job with a history/archaeology degree in Sweden?

I used student loans. most of them are paid off. the remaining loan carries a 2.1 percent interest rate so it doesn't make much sense to pay it off. I think the balance is about $30k so it's not that big of a deal.

Bot a BSc in CS, started working thereafter

might return to get an MBA later (when I'm 30 or so)

>coolest thing you personally have found in a dig
Actually something of low value but still cool to me.
We were digging just outside a town called Linköping and on the second day I found a pipe from the 16th century in pretty good condition with the inscriptions A.F.A
The fun thing is we were digging out an old mansion/farmhouse. Theo owner of said house?
Alfred Felix Allstrand.
I found his pipe. That was a fun moment.
But more important finds? A few arrowheads from the neolithic period in central Stockholm etc. Nothing unusual by it self but it I found it inside a blob of old oak. We didn't know the arrowheads were there until we did and x-ray. Some old hunter many thousands of years ago fired them at a tree.
>Do you think you got lucky, or is it not hard to find a job with a history/archaeology degree in Sweden?
A little bit of luck, but mostly my degrees. People with the right education will always find jobs in Sweden, no matter what category.
But we do have a very high amount of museums and such. All who need good people.

>old mansion/farmhouse
var? t. linköpingsbo

Metallurgical and materials engineering

>MBA

If you feel like throwing away money sure

Uni dropout.

software engineering

>money
only time, degrees are free

don't want to dig too deep in the computaneering hole should I get a bad neck or whatever

Come to /his/

We have a need for intelligent historians.

MBA and Business degrees in general are worth less than the paper they are printed on.

you'll just be managing other engineers and CS types. That's not a bad thing but a reality.

>var? t. linköpingsbo
Det var längs Södra Stånggatan (närheten av tullbron)

Det kommer jag ihåg, 2013-2014 ungefär va?
Bor i närheten.

>degrees are free

Not for the taxpayer

Russian language/literature. Graduated last year.
Ask the guy with a language degree anything.

Do you regret it yet?

did you get that degree in russia or CIS?

YouTube videos and general internetting. Same for whole bachelor and high school too.

FREE

>Not for the taxpayer
Actually most Swedish educations is payed for by the state through the nations income, not taxes.

How is that a meme, there's fucking loads of accounting jobs here.

>in general

Get an MBA from a good uni like Harvard, Stanford, LBS or whatever and you're set for fucking life.

>the nations income, not taxes.

??

Either way that's money that could be spent on something that's not entirely useless.

No.
Here in the US.

can you speak russian?

Doing what? Business degrees teach no practical skills and are entirely outside of senior management positions. So you need to either already have a senior management position or amazing connections.

how is that different?

this just in: a nation can be a shareholder of a company and own financial instruments

The government works for taxpayers, so wasting government money is still wasting taxpayer money.

Hy дa, кoнeчнo.

>entirely useless
How is educated people "useless"?
>how is that different?
The people don't pay a dime.
The government earns from exports etc (in Sweden it's especially clean energy) and part of that income goes into the education system.
Meaning that peoples taxes can go to others things like healthcare and infrastructure.

>How is educated people "useless"?

Not all education is useful or adds any real value.

you're a fucking idiot

the average salary of a LBS MBA graduate is 125k, kill yourself

Home Security

That's because they get an MBA after they already in a senior management position. For new graduates it's worthless.

>rödlistad
Varför det? Gravar kan man väl gräva i

Wrong.

>Not all education is useful or adds any real value.
How is that? Name one kind of education that is "useless"..
>Varför det? Gravar kan man väl gräva i
Jo självklart men den platsen är redan utgrävd och dockumenterad. Gravar och gravplatser vill man störa så lite som möjligt. Därav resandet av monumentet och en snabb utgrävning (innan min tid) så andra slipper.

tell that to people who major in Greek history

>Greek history
I know several with a degree in that. They all do important work for historical institutions and museums.

Det låter ärligt talat som mitt drömjobb. Vilket universitet gick du på?

>Vilket universitet gick du på?
Uppsala universitet. Ett universitet jag starkt kan rekommendera.

Computer Science.

that sounds cool

Dumb bong. Fuck off. Accounting literally sucks the life outta you.
