Why are they superior to Japan?

Why are they superior to Japan?

Oh wait I know, it's because their music is more energetic, funkier and less gay.

All synthpop is gay

how can a single band be superior to a whole country?

Japan released more quality music than Duran Duran. Sad, since the first two Duran Duran albums are brilliant and their catalog is so much larger than Japan's.

...

Richard Butler needs to release another solo album.

Cute!!

New wave aint free. The heads of Blitz kids gotta be coverd with makeup and aquanet.
Gary Numan aka "Gay Numale" is NOT my new wave idol, he is Bowie impersonator and probbaly homosex as well:DD synthPOP and new wave not coldwave and post-PUNK ok. Praise Steve Strange.

what album should i start with on japan?
i feel it's the natural progression now that i've listened to bowie for so long

Quiet Life, go up to Tin Drum, then listen to their first two albums

fuck steve strange and fuck john foxx

Start with "Quiet Life" and then "Gentlemen Take Polaroids". Save "Tin Drum" for last as it is kino, although "Quiet Life" in reality is probably their best. Also check out the "Art of Parties" EP and their live album "Oil on Canvas". Also listen to their first two albums if you want something more punky and different, Songs like "Rhodesia" and "Automatic Gun" are pretty excellent. Their later albums are far better though desu.
